Detailed Lesson Plan in Science
I Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the pupils' must be able to:
a. Illustrate the ways of heat transfer;
b. define heat and electricity; and
c. appreciate the importance of heat and electricity in our daily life.

III Procedure
Teacher's Activity Pupils' Activities
A. Preliminary Activities
1. Prayer
Before we start, please lead the
prayer, Miss Nhesan. Yes, Teacher!
Thank you, Father God, for this day and
thank you for your goodness.
Please guide us especially in our daily life.
We bring back all the glory and honor to
you. In Jesus name. Amen.
2. Greetings
Good Evening pupils. I am Teacher
Janna, I am Teacher Tapao and I
am Teacher Checklett. In Teachers
in Science Subject.
How are you feeling today? We're fine Teacher!
3. Attendance
Who is absent tonight? Later we will
have an activity that will save your
attendance.
4. Setting of Standards
Before we begin to our discussion.
I have here the house rules that
I want you to follow.
This is the acronym AWARE which
means.
A- Always keep your classroom
clean and in order.
W- Work together
A- Act appropriately
R- Respect others
E- Exert effort, do your best to
learn!
So, class be AWARE and try your
best not to violate any of the house
rules.
Is that clear? Yes, Teacher!
B. Review
Class, do you still remember our
last topic? Yes, Teacher!
Okay, what was our last topic? Light and Sound Teacher!
Okay, Very Good!
Okay, let me ask you.
It is the travel extremely fast and Light
over long distance and carries
energy and information.
It is the frequency, wavelength, Sound
amplitude, and speed.
C. Motivation
This time all you have to do is
watch a video clip on the screen.
After that I will ask you questions
from the video.
Am I clear? Yes, Teacher!
D. Lesson Proper
Based on the video that you have
watched, what have you observed? Teacher, it's all about Heat and Electricity.
Yes, correct
But before we proceed to our new
topic this evening kindly read the
objective first. Objective
Okay everybody read! At the end of the lesson, the pupils must
be able to:
a. illustrate the ways of heat and
transfer;
b. define heat and electricity; and
c. appreciate the useful of heat and
electricity.
So, our topic in this evening is all
about heat and electricity.
Heat
To change the temperature, you
usually need to add or subtract
energy.
For example, when it's cold outside,
you turn up the heat in your house
and the temperature goes up.
What happens when you hold a
chocolate bar in your hand?
Thermal energy flows from your
hand to the chocolate and it begins
to melt.
Thermal conductors and insulators
Materials that conduct heat easily
are called thermal conductors and
those that conduct heat poorly are
called thermal insulators.
Electricity
Electricity is the flow of electrical
power or charge, enabling us to
work efficiently and quickly. It's like
a bike connected to a light bulb,
providing energy at the flick of a
switch.
1. Activity
Class, in connection to our topic,
I will divide you into two groups. Rubrics
All you have to do is give the
disadvantage and advantage of
Heat and Electricity and select
one member to present your
answer.
Before that I will provide a
manila paper where you can
write your answer. Each group
will be given 2 minutes to
prepare for the report 2 minutes
to present it here in front.
On the screen are the criteria for
the presentation.
Please be guided. Did you get Yes, Teacher!
me class?
Time your start now! (the pupils' do the activity)
So, I will be the one to choose who
will present first.
Let us start in group two. (the group two present their activity)
Thank you group two!
Let's give them a Sexbomb clap! (the pupils' do the Sexbomb clap)
So, Let's proceed to group one. (the group one present their group)
Thank you group one!
Let's give them a Nice clap! (the pupils' do the Nice clap)
2. Analysis
Guide Questions
1. What is the significant of
heat and electricity in our
daily life?
2. How do we conserve
electricity especially in this
time of inflation.
3. Abstraction
How important is the study of Studying heat and electricity is important,
Heat and Electricity? because humans are conductors, we
should be aware of the thing electricity is
capable of doing because it could cause
harm, danger and death heat has so many
uses because it is important to every living
creature inhabiting the earth.
Give an example of how heat Heat is vital in our daily life in warming the
and electricity important in house, heating the water and drying the
our daily life. wash clothes.
Electricity has many uses in our day to day
life. It is used for lighting rooms, working
fans and domestic appliances like using
electric stoves and more.
4. Application
Now this time, we will have a
role play. I will divide you into
4 groups. Rubrics
I have a box here, inside the
box there are various things
written about Heat and
Electricity. So each group
takes one from the box and
that's what you will use in the
role play.
When you're done role
playing, you have to explain
it how important that things in
our daily life.
Furthermore, you will be
given just 2 minutes to
prepare and 1 minute to
present.
Do I make myself clear
class? Yes, Teacher!
Go to your respective groups (the pupils preparing for their role play)
now!
Thank you, kindly give (the pupils' do the Fireworks clap)
yourselves a Fireworks clap
for the job well done.
(Giving feedback and ratings
to all Groups)
IV Evaluation
