Product Plastiment -PR 2002 is used as a powerful concrete plasticiser-retarder where
high slump retaining concrete is required in difficult climatic conditions.
Description
Suitable for use in tropical and hot climatic conditions.

Uses Plastiment -PR 2002 is used to produce high slump retention concrete in
applications such as:
Ready mixed concrete
High concrete temperatures
Difficult placing conditions
Long transport distances

Storage
Storage Conditions Store in a dry area and at temperatures between +5ºC and +35ºC. Protect from
direct sunlight and frost.
Shelf Life 12 months minimum from production date if stored properly in original unopened
packaging.

Application Details
Dosage 0.3% - 0.6% by weight of cement.
It is advisable to carry out trial mixes to establish the exact dosage rate required.

Compatibility Plastiment -PR 2002 can be combined with all Plastiment and Sikament
admixtures.
It is also compatible with sulphate resistant cement. Please consult our Technical
Services Department for information regarding any special usage.

Dispensing Plastiment -PR 2002 is added to the gauging water prior to its addition to the dry
mix. Allow enough time for the concrete to mix thoroughly.
Concrete Placing The standard rules of good concreting practice (production as well as placing) must

also be observed when using Plastiment -PR 2002. Refer to relevant standards.
Curing Fresh concrete must be cured correctly, especially at high temperatures in order to

prevent plastic and drying shrinkage. Use Sika Antisol products as a curing agent
or apply wet hessian cloth.
Cleaning of Tools Clean all equipment and tools with water immediately after use.

Notes on Application / When using Plastiment -PR 2002 a suitable mix design must be selected and local

When accidental overdosing occurs (within reason), the set retarding effect
increases During this period the concrete must be kept moist in order to prevent
premature drying out. There will also be an additional amount of air entertainment.

Plastiment -PR 2002 should not be added to dry cement.
Before pouring, suitability tests on the fresh concrete must be carried out.
