You will listen to the three ways to pronounce -ed. Listen and repeat the sounds that you hear.

Listen to the audio. Put t, d, or Id (id) for the sound that hear at the end of each word below.

5-10 mins.
As the teacher you can choose to demonstrate and practise the sounds with your class, or you can play or
download the file from the website. You can also scan the QR code using a mobile device. Play the audio once,
and again if students request it. Make sure that students are making the correct sounds.
3. Verb endings: -ed

points if students need time to write down their answers. Play it once for students to do the exercise, then again
for them to check their answers. As an extra activity, students can practise saying the words out loud after they
have listened to the audio.
