PPT14+ +replenishment

The document discusses replenishment in SAP Extended Warehouse Management. Replenishment ensures stocks are available for picking by filling picking bins from reserve storage. There are four replenishment methods: planned uses minimum/maximum quantities, automatic during task confirmation, order-related considers open orders, and direct triggered by pick denials. SAP Extended Warehouse

Management
Replenishment
Replenishment
• Replenishment is a warehouse process that is
implemented to insure that stocks in picking bins
are available when needed.
• To ensure that you have adequate stock on hand
for picking, you can use the replenishment
process to fill picking bins from one or more
reserve storage areas.
• For each storage type you define the allowed
replenishment types. There are four basic
methods of replenishment.
Replenishment Methods
• Planned Replenishment
• Automatic Replenishment
• Order-related Replenishment
• Direct Replenishment
Planned Replenishment
• In planned replenishment, the system uses the
Minimum, Maximum and Replenishment
Quantities from the product master to determine
whether replenishment of the product is
necessary.
• This process can be performed online or run in a
background batch run.
Automatic Replenishment
• The main difference between the planned and
the automatic replenishment method is that
the automatic method is executed during task
confirmation.
Order-related Replenishment
• The main feature of the order-related
replenishment method is that it takes into
account all open warehouse request quantities
for products.
• In this method, it is possible that the system will
generate replenishment tasks to exceed the
replenishment maximum set for the product.
Direct Replenishment
• Direct replenishment is triggered by the entry
of an exception code during a pick denial.
• The exception code is configured with an
internal process code that will trigger the
replenishment of the product.
Config – Activate Replenishment
• The replenishment method is set in configuration at the storage
type level.
• SPRO  EWM  Internal Warehouse Process  Replenishment
