Group Assignment I (25%)

As you know MIS is one of a computerized system in today business process. It provides a summary
of information needs to make decision and achieve corporate objective of the organization. It takes
relatively operational data available from TPS and converts it into meaningful aggregated form which
meets mangers need in the functions of planning, controlling, and decision making. To be useful, this
information summary or reports must include the information that a manager’s needs and must match
specific purpose of information. Select one of the firm’s raw data from primary or secondary source you
interested. Briefly discus different types of reports that could be generated as detail, exception, periodic,
demand and summary reports. Generate each report type in table format and explain their purpose.

Submission date maximum of two weeks.

Group Assignment II (25%)

Many organizations follow their own approaches to information system development. Organizations
may vary significantly in the way; they automate or operate their business procedures. For this, different
software development approaches are often used. Some of these approaches are waterfall model, agile
model, incremental model, spiral model, prototyping model, rapid application development and joint
application development.

Briefly explain their:

 Basic principles
 Architecture
 Strengths
 Weaknesses or Drawbacks
