 Instructions to use of this Log Book
This logbook will provide you a framework around which to plan your
training in Pediatrics and to keep-up-to-date records of training
progress. It will need to be handed in for assessment at the end of the
clinical course. It contains attendance forms for the various
placements that need to be signed by one of the department lecturers
attending the clinical session or the practical procedure. Lecturers
will not provide signatures ‘in retrospect’.
Always keep your log Book with you during your training course. As
soon as the case is assigned and discussed, write it in the appropriate
site.
The logbook is divided into several sections. The following
instructions will help you completing those sections correctly.

1. You will find a list with required subjects that you should face
during your pediatric clinical training course, including the most
common diseases in each child system.
2. The number to the right of each represents the minimum
number of cases you must get exposed to.
3. You need to mention the case provisional or final diagnosis.
4. For each case write the date of the interview.
5. Each case should be counter signed by your trainer. His signature
is the proof of your actual participation.
6. The clinical case log includes also attendance forms for training in
various aspects of pediatric practice including: morning meeting,
ward round, clinical sessions, neonatal care units (NCU),
Pediatric emergency unit (EU), and primary health care
centers. It also includes attendance to seminars, followed by
reporting of noteworthy cases and practical procedure log.

procedures must be covered during your course.
