Instructions: Explain the following quotes from famous authors.
1. “Shallow men believe in luck or in circumstance. Strong men believe in cause and effect.”
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
- Simply put, nothing happens by accident. And that every action has a corresponding reaction
or consequence. You don't just turn up and hope for the best. You must work hard and place
yourself in a position to be noticed. Perfect practice makes perfect.
2. “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” -Eleanor Roosevelt
-It simply means that quotes and dreams will not work until you do. Motivate yourself and
keep working until the job is completed. A dream without a plan is nothing more than a wish.
Set a goal and start working if you want your dream to come true, for the future belongs to
those who never give up. Life becomes boundless once you overcome fear.
3. “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” -Confucius
-It indicates that when you enjoy your job, it feels more like a choice than a responsibility.
Overall, it provides value and significance to your existence and fills your soul rather than
depletes it. Loving one's work is a beautiful thing that should be promoted. To begin with,
even if you adore your profession, there will inevitably be difficult days. Something about the
above saying suggests a sense of joy, ease, and effortlessness.
4. “A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads only lives one.”
-George R.R Martin
- It motivates you to persevere and overcome all hurdles in your path to achievement. It
enables you to become a better human being by providing you with a huge array of
knowledge. When you read, you put yourself in the shoes of the protagonist, or, in this case,
the antagonist. You take a break from your life and enter the character's imagined, yet real
world, living his or her life for a change.
5. “A problem is a chance for you to do your best.” -Duke Ellington
- Everyday problems endure, and our organizations are no exception. Every business faces
obstacles, some of which can lead to success. Decisions made and actions taken to tackle
challenges provide tremendous opportunities for improvement. A problem is also an
opportunity for you to use your skills to fix it.
