1. General description

This instrument is designed to be used as a remote

indication unit for CFW.

'It not only receives the analog signals corresponding to

the weight of material to be weighed which passes on the

conveyor and the pulse signals corresponding to the

conveyor speed, and transmits the multiplied value of these

two signals, but also compares them with the setting value

to transmit the control output.

YAMATO SCALE has conventionally supplied a lot of

multipliers and controllers.to a variety of companies,

which enjoyed a good reputation.

YAMATO SCALE has here integrated all techniques accumulated

so far to develop high-performance controller by combining

these two units.

Features

1) The built-in load cell power unit, amplifier and

multiplier allow compact design.

2) The built-in automatic zero. ' . calibration mechanism

allows easy calibration work.

3) Zero/span setting can be performed digitally and

easily.

4) Adoption of ratio metric method serves to maintain

high accuracy.

Configuration

The system configuration of this i n s t r u m e n t is shown in

Figs. 10-1 and 10-2:

Since the instrument is so designed t h a t the exciting

voltage applied to the load cell can be fed back to the

A/D converter as soon as the analog signal of the load cell

is supplied to the A/D converter through the amplifier,

allowing so-called "Ratio-metric", the high-accuracy can

be maintained.

The digital volume corresponding to the weight on the

weighing length is outputted from the A/D converter to the

multiplier unit each time the pulse signal is supplied

t
from the pulse generator used for detection of belt speed.

- 84 -
EH782-787A.
The pulse having a proper weight having been multiplied

in the multiplier unit is not only displayed by the

totalizer, but also supplied-to the outside as low-speed--

pulse, high-speed pulse and pulse for F/I conversion.

The instrument also performs' the calculation of feed rate, -

while transmitting the result to the outside in 4^20mA.

The single feed rate to be set by the front panel is given

by multiplying the coefficients of ratio and moisture

before it is converted into the pulse signal, and compared

with the pulse after the calculation for deviation to

perform proportional pulse control.

Then, the control output is supplied in 4^20mA.
