The following information is being provided to the students to prepare the project
work according to the guidelines laid down for the different subjects.

ENGLISH I

PROJECT WORK ON ‘ENGLISH (LANGUAGE)’FOR STD-V STUDENTS


(Session: 2021-22)
Title of the Project: ‘VERBS-Strong, Weak Participles’

Guidelines:
Use inter-leaf papers of A-4 size for preparing the Project.
The ‘Cover Page’ of the Project should clearly indicate the student’s Name,
Class, Section, Roll Number and Subject. It should be decorated suitably to
make the Project look impressive and attractive.

Index
1. Definition of ‘Verb’ and write the three forms of verbs.
2. Picture of a ‘Tree’
3. Table of the forms of verbs.
4. Make sentences.
-- Use the entire blank-side of an inter-leaf paper for drawing/pasting the
picture of a ‘Tree’, using your own creativity.
(A picture of a ‘Tree’ is shown for your reference and understanding)
-- Use the ruled side of another paper for making a Table to write down
the ‘Present’, ’Past’ and ‘Past Participle’ forms of the twenty (20)verbs that
are numbered and pasted randomly on the reference tree.
--Pick out the verbs from the reference ‘Tree’ in chronological order
(according to increasing number) and complete the Table.
(Refer to pages 43 and 44 of the book, ’New Trends in English Grammar
and Composition-Book 5’ to locate the words for completing the Table)

A Project on English Literature for Class 5


Session: 2021- 22
Topic of the project:
'Tiger- The Mightiest Cat on Earth'

Presentation:
● Use interleaved biology sheets to prepare the project.
● Decorate the cover page as per the child's liking for enhancing the
aesthetic appeal of the project.
● The students must prepare the project with the view under the
following headings.

INDEX
1. Picture of a tiger
2. A Poem on 'Tiger'
3. An Introduction- Tigers in India
4. Reasons for the decline in their number
5. Conservation of tigers
6. Conclusion

NOTE:
● The students may either draw or stick pictures.
● The students may exhibit their literary skills through a self composed
poem on 'Tiger' or a poem on 'Tiger' from the other sources, that is,
books or internet.

● If the poem is incorporated from other sources, make sure that it is


not from the course book (Aster).

● The students may use the following clues to frame the introduction.
i. Number or population
ii. Locations where they are found
iii. Sanctuaries
iv. The Status of the Tigers - Rising or
Falling

● The students may write an overall thought or experiences with regard


to the topic in the conclusion. The students may summarize the topic
in a nutshell.

● The conclusion must be short.

2) Muscles

3) Care of bones and muscles

Details of the project:

1) What is a joint?

 What are the different types of joints?


 Draw a flow chart of types of joints with an example for each.

Draw or paste the pictures of the games given below and mention the kinds
of Joint (indicated by an arrow) used in each of the activities.
2) Define muscles.
 What are the different types of muscles found in the human body?
 Group the following into voluntary or involuntary muscles.

I. Muscles of the arm


II. Muscles of stomach
III. Muscles of internal lining of kidney
IV. Facial muscles
V. Muscles of hip

TOPIC : FRACTIONS

Cover page:
 Use coloured paper for the cover page and decorate it.
 The cover page should include the student’s particulars.

Index: Mention the name of the following subtopics along with the page numbers
 Introduction to fractions
 Meaning of a whole in a fraction
 Types of fractions in a flowchart
 Proper fractions
 Improper fractions
 Mixed fractions
 Like and unlike fractions
Details of project:
1) Introduction to fraction. (What is a fraction?)
2) Meaning of a whole in a fraction (Combine different fractions to make a whole
eg. 1 + 1 = 1

Following the above example, take different fractions like 1/3,1/4 etc. and draw
or paste pictures of food items like pizza, cake etc. in parts to show one complete
whole. Use your own creativity and give 3 more examples.)

3) Name the different types of fraction with the help of flow chart.

4) Types of fractions. (Write the definition of each type of fraction on the ruled
side and paste the related worksheets uploaded in cutebrains on the blank side.)
Note: Use Interleaf A-4 size paper for the [Link] colours should be used
for colouring. Related worksheets will be provided on cutebrains app.

SOCIAL STUDIES PROJECT WORK ( 2021-22 )


Topic – Natural Disasters
 Use Interleaved Biology sheets.
 Make your cover page creative.
 Index – Mention all the Topics and the Page Numbers.
 Introduction – What are Natural Disasters?
 Select any two Natural Disasters caused by the different forces of nature
and write about its –
1- Causes
2- Effects / Impacts
3- Precautions that can be taken.
 Paste / Draw, colour and label pictures related to the topics.
 Conclude the project in two or three +sentences as why you chose these
topics.
