Dear Student,
This document contains the most important part of your MCC course: the standard procedures you will need
to use in the cockpit with your co-pilot. It is very important that you memorize and practice the contents as
much as possible – even before the simulator sessions start – to make your and your partner’s job easier!

Read flows from left to right, top to bottom. Initiation is always by the person who has text in the first row:

We recommend using this document electronically on your handheld device as it is optimised with bookmarks
and links for easier usage:
− From each flow marker, you can jump to the corresponding flowchart with the “Go to
Flowchart” button to see where you need to do the steps of the flow in the cockpit.
From each flowchart, you can immediately jump back to the flow where you were with the “Jump back
to flow” button. As you familiarize yourself with the aircraft, you will see that you will need to use the
charts fewer times.
− At each checklist marker, you have to get your printed checklist (or the ones provided in the
simulator and the mockup trainer).
The checklist is not included in this document as opposed to the flowcharts. As you will use the
checklist in real operation too, you must get used to the habit of reaching to it and develop it as a
reflex.
Do not hesitate to ask an Instructor if something is unclear in the document!

BOTH PILOTS ARE IN THE COCKPIT
Take the ATIS The PF takes it.
Take the ATC CLEARANCE The PF orders the PM to take it.
− PM is to copy the ATC clearance.
− While PM reads back the clearance to the ATC, PF is to set
the received data.
− When PM finished with the radio communication, PF is to
announce to PM, all the data what he set.
− PM is to crosscheck all the items, and announce:
‘CROSSCHECKED".

COCKPIT PREPARATION CHECKLIST
PF orders PM to read it when the Departure Briefing is completed.
Ask ground handling agent (under the aircraft) if he
