You can access to Central REpository of Student
Development Activities (CRESDA)
via AIMS, under Student Services.
With CRESDA, you can:
1. Search and register for activities that you are
interested in;
2. Check the status of your registered activities; and
3. Monitor your participation in soft skills
development activities.
1. Search and Register for Activities
(Click menu item: Available Student Development Activities )
You can find the list of activities available to you
under Available Student Development Activities.
Click “Click to View Details” for details of the
activity or registration.
You can also type a keyword in the search bar at the
top and look for specific activities.
On the Activity Details page:
• Basic Activity details and Attributes of Intended
Learning Outcomes will be shown.
• Screening questions (if any) are mandatory for the
registration.
• Click “Click Here To Apply” for registration of the
activity.
• For activities recruiting on a first-come, first-served
basis, it is not allowed to register if the quota is full.

For outside Hong Kong activities, after clicking the “Click Here to Apply” button, you are required to review
and confirm your emergency contact information in AIMS is up-to-date before you can complete the registration.
• If the emergency contact information shown on the screen is correct, click “YES, my contact info in AIMS
is up-to-date” to complete the registration.
• Otherwise, click “NO, but I will update it now” to update your emergency contacts in the Personal Data
for Communication function.

• After updated the emergency contact information in AIMS, go back to My Activities under CRESDA to complete
the registration.

2. Check the Status of the Registered Activities
(Click menu item: My Activities)
Under My Activities, you can check the
enrolment status of all the activities that you
have registered.
Click the corresponding activity title for more
activity details, or to manage the enrolment
status of your activity, e.g. withdraw from/ re-
apply an activity.
3. Monitor the participation of soft skills development activities
(Click menu item: Student Development Summary )
You can monitor your soft skills development on
student development activities, internships and
exchange programmes under the Student
Development Summary.
• The function provides both Details and Chart views
for student development activities, internships and
exchange programmes respectively.
• In Chart view, you can view your participation by
Categories of Attributes (Learning Outcomes) or
Graduate Outcomes.
• When Details view is selected, the details of each
participated Activities/ Internships/ Exchanges will
be shown.
• The summary figures under the top navigations
will be shown for both Details and Chart views.

3a. Activity View
The following summary figures will be shown in the Activity view:
Summary Figure Description
Activities Number of completed activities attended.
Hours Total attended hours of completed activities.
Attributes Number of distinct Attributes of the completed activities attended.
Number of distinct Categories of Attributes (Learning Outcomes) attained by completed

activities.
Graduate Outcomes Number of distinct Graduate Outcomes of the completed activities attended.
The percentage of total actual attendance hours over total ideal attendance hours for each
category.
Overall Percentage
If the value of actual attendance hours is greater than or equals to the ideal attendance
hours, the percentage will be shown as 100%.
The total actual attendance hours of all attributes for each category.
Total Actual Attendance
Note: If the actual attendance hour is greater than the ideal attendance hour, the ideal

The total ideal attendance hours of all attributes for each category.

Details View
The Details View of Activity will list out all completed
activities participated.
• Only Categories of Attributes (Learning outcomes)
and Graduate outcomes attained will be displayed with
their percentage of contribution.
(i.e., Learning Outcome and Graduate Outcome with
0% will not be displayed.)
• The list of activities is sorted by the start date in reverse
chronological order. 6

Chart View – Category of Attributes
The student development summary by Categories of
Attributes (Learning Outcomes) can be presented by
Percentages, by Hours or by Ideal Attendance.
Clicking on a Category in the chart can drill down to view
the attribute distribution of that Category.
Overall Percentage The shaded area shows the Ideal attendance hours. The
region set by red borders shows the Actual attendance
hours you have in the record. You can easily spot if it
reaches the ideal figures or not.
Note: the region representing the actual hours is bounded
within the shaded area even the figure exceeds.

Chart View – Graduate Outcomes
The student development summary by Graduate
Outcome can be presented by Percentages, by Hours or
by Ideal Attendance.
Clicking on a Graduate Outcome in the chart can drill
down to view the attribute distribution of that Graduate
Outcome.
Overall Percentage Note: the region representing the actual hours is
bounded within the shaded area even the figure exceeds.

3b. Internship
Records from Student Internship Record System (SIRS) (including Campus Internship Scheme (CIS) records)
will be retrieved for this view.
The following summary figures will be shown in the Internship view:

attained by completed internships. Pie chart view and bar chart view are available to present the data by
Percentage and Man-months respectively.

3c. Exchange
Records from the Student Exchange System will be retrieved for this view. Only Exchange records with the
outcome “Programme Completed” will be counted.
The following summary figures will be shown in the Activity view:
