Technology is such a big part of the world we live and it has a fundamental role in our every
day’s life. According to Wikipedia (May 2022) ,Technology is the result of accumulated
knowledge and application of skills, methods, and processes used in industrial production and
scientific research. Technology is embedded in the operation of all machines and electronic
devices, with or without detailed knowledge of their function, for the intended purpose of an
organization. Technology is essential for solving daily dynamic things and situations.
Technology make it possible to share information and have instant access to information ,
makes it easier to manage businesses.
Technology made it possible for various devices like cell phones, printers and computers and
these devices are essential tools for accessing information on the internet which is a fast and
effective way of sharing information with people from different parts of the world. The
existence of online platforms promotes the engagement of people in academic related
activities . portable devices like Universal Serial Bus(USB) and hard drives made it possible for
people to have vast number of information saved as files and can have access to that
information even if they don’t have internet access at that exact moment.
Technology plays a major role in managing businesses. Technological devices like computers are
used in automating business activities and processes. Computer can also be used to store
information which is useful for the business management and they reduce inefficiency in some
parts of the business where humans may be considered slow or inaccurate to carry out a
specified task. It can also be used to protect financial data, confidential executive decisions and
other proprietary information that leads to competitive advantages.
Technology is very important in education because it provides students with access to countless
online resources, encouraging them to carry out research and therefore become independent.
It also simplified learning by making concepts more digestible, for example through an
instructional video. It enables online education, distance learning and access to up-to-date
informations. Technology can enable more research into subjects that are more difficult to
learn.
Technology is more important that it influences our every move. We have Facebook, Twitter, E-
mail, WhatsApp and many more other social apps that enables us to stay connected to our
friends and families in affordable costs.

can handle hundreds or thousands of connected users simultaneously.

• Personal computers is a small, relatively inexpensive computer designed for
individual users.

• A laptop or Notebook is a lightweight, portable computer that includes a screen,
keyboard and mouse/touchpad. It can operate from a built-in battery or
electricity.
4. Desktop computers
• Desktop are computers designed to fit comfortably on top of a desk , typically
with the monitor sitting on top of the computer.
5. Hand-held computers
• A portable computer that is small enough to held in one’s hand.
6. Tablet computers
• Tablet computer is a special type of Notebook computer that you can interact
with by touching the screen with your finger or digital pen.
7. Smartphone computers
• Smartphone is an internet enabled phone that usually also provides personal
information management functions such as a calendar, an appointment book, an
address book, a calculator and a notepad.
8. Wearable computers
• It is a small technological device capable of storing and processing data that can
be worn on the body.
9. Workstation computers
• Workstation is a computer intended for individual use that is faster and more
capable than a personal computer.
10. Super computers
• Super computer is a computer that performs at or near the highest operational
rate for computers.
