TRAINING NEED ANALYSIS AISHAH FOOD INDUSTRY SDN BHD (AFISB)
GOAL OBJECTIVE
To assess AFISB training need Specifically, the training need analysis is conducted to identify why AFISB need the training identify what skills need imparting identify who need the training identify when will they need the training identify how may the new skills be impart
METHOD
Information was obtained through : 1. Several discussions with the owners 2. Interview the employees 3. Survey through the questionnaires 3. Factory visit and observation
ANALYSIS
Based on the analysis, few training has been identified 1) AFISB production worker/employees (Appendix 1) 2) AFISB administration staff web site maintenance (Appendix 2 and 3) 3) Agents (Appendix 2)
Appendix 1 Interview with Pn. Aisha and En. Nazar. From several interview and lengthy discussion with Pn. Aishah and En. Nazar, we have identified few areas that need to be the focus point for the training. We see this as the gaps that need immediate action from us. 1. Productivity and the Importance of meeting output 2. Quality (reject or rework) 3. Discipline 4. Material Control
Interview with Production Personnel. In-order to further support the above findings we have further conducted an interview with the production personnel. We have interview some of the production personnel in the company and below is the findings. We have use A, B and C to denote the person interview. Interview with person A. Q1: Do you know what type of product that you need to produce today in-terms of quantity? Ans: No I dont know. Q2: Do you what are you major reject in you process? Ans: No I dont know. Q3: Are you clear in your reject and accept criteria? Ans: No we dont have formal document but just base on experience. Interview with person B Q4: Have you been take action for coming in late to work? Ans: No, but sometime they do. Q5: Do you act immediately when there is problem with machine or material (WIP)? Ans: We will try our best to run with the remaining machines to make-up the schedule. Q6: Do know anything about GMP? Ans: No and we not trained for GMP. Interview with person C Q7: Do you inform your superior when taking leave? Ans: Sometime we do but most of the times due to emergency we just go on leave. Q8: Do you know what your hourly target to make or produce? Ans: No and sometime line leader will inform us (adhoc)
Appendix 2 Interview with Pn. Aishah Abu Bakar and En. Mohamed Nasaruddin Abu Hassan 1) Website Training: From our personal communication and interview with Pn. Aishah and En. Nasaruddin, it can be concluded that the company need a website to communicate and advertise about their company and its product. However we have also identified that the company do not have any personnel capable of developing and maintaining the website.
Interview with Personnel After distributing questionnaires to the relevant staff, we have ascertained that the relevant staffs need training in the area of information technology. Especially on developing and maintaining the website.
2) Agents and Staff Training (Communication and Motivation) From our personal communication and interview with Pn. Aishah and En. Nasaruddin, it is evident that the agents and staff of the company is lacking communication skill and motivation. This is proven when attempts to conduct a meeting with the agents, they have been trying to avoid the meeting at all cost. Most of the successful meeting are conducted on a one on one basis. Staff also need motivation to enhance their work quality and increase efficiency in the organization.
