Slow return check valve (6) is contained in check valve housing (4). Slow return check valve (6) is located
between the main control valve and the hydraulic tank in the return circuit. The slow return check valve
restricts the return oil flow. This restriction causes a pressure increase in the return hydraulic system and
makeup line (1).

If cavitation occurs within the motors/cylinders, oil from makeup line (3) is supplied to in order to prevent
cavitation in the swing motor.

The return oil that flows through the check valve housing (4) flows through bypass check valve (7) to slow
return check valve (6). When the hydraulic oil is cold, bypass valve (7) opens and allows the oil to flow into the
hydraulic tank. When the hydraulic oil warms, bypass valve (7) starts to close and slow return check valve (6)
regulates the return pressure.
