Steps for Diagnosis of PCB failure (LED indication Pattern)
1. Check for LED blinking Pattern.
2. Check for Compressor working.
3. Check individual wires and its connectors for loose connection.
4. Check continuity across all 3 wires connecting PCB to Compressor.
5. Check compressor Winding resistance (all three windings should show same resistances, should be in a range of 21.5 Ohms +/- 5% ).
6. Connect multimeter to compressor terminals and check resistance after shaking the compressor as discussed in previous slides.
7. Check compressor for Ground (resistance between winding and compressor discharge pipe should show infinite reading, note that probe is touched to discharge
tube doesn’t have paint on it).
8. Connect multimeter to compressor terminals with ground and check resistance after shaking the compressor as discussed in previous slides.
9. Switch on the machine and check the Voltage on the PCB power Supply connector.
10. Reconnect everything and again observe performance (in case of failure recheck LED blinking Pattern (Error Code). Wait for atleast 35mins to observe if any
change.
11. Refer error code in next slide to understand the issue.
12. If all okay, Replace the PCB and check if you get same error.
13. If same error disconnect the discharge tube of compressor from system and check if same error, if compressor works on no load means its has some issue in
sealed system. If compressor doesn’t work change the compressor.
Do not switch of the machine for at least 35mins, machine can reset and start working on it’s own.
