Harmonia Medical

Harmonia Medical is a company based in Bucharest, Romania, specialising in the creation and
provision of high quality body prostheses, it is an SME with the turnover of $4m a year.
Harmonia Medical is part of the medical services industry and proposes itself as a manufacturer of
medical devices tailored to the patient with the aim of giving personalized answers to the needs and
requirements of the clinical case being treated, thanks to the application of the best scanning
technologies, design and three-dimensional production, all placed at the service of the surgeon.
The company’s vision remains the same: to create a normal, even a better and easier life for people in
need of the products.
We seek to positively impact disabled people. Our message is that you’re not marginalized anymore.
We seek to bring hope to those who lost it.
The internal organization of the company focuses on the seven leaders of the company’s departments:
Mihaela is in charge of marketing, Anca takes care of sales, Horia is the head of the management
department, Claudiu in concerned with the IT department, David coordinates the purchasing, Gabriela
is in charge of HR and Mădălina is responsible for customer care.
Get to know them better in the statements of each one below.
Mihaela - Marketing
In order to describe myself as Mihaela Vîjîianu and my marketing department would be like it
follows:
1. My department will attract the costumers and would make it easier for them to choose the ideal
prosthesis adapted to their needs.
2. In order to ensure that the costumers choose us I prepared a short line for our company “life still
exist, shake hands and walk with us” in order to give the hope to a person which suffered an
amputation, and show them that they are still just like us and their misfortune should not be a reason
to stop all the interaction with the world.
3. For the picture I choose a robotic arm and leg in order to show to our costumers that we use our
resources at maximum capacity as our teammates continuously improve their skills and check the
needs of the people
4. Last but not least the thematic songs of our company clip is the song line from pirates of the
Caribbean as a little joke and smile for our patients to be able to think that all world looked up with
admiration to the amputated pirates which brought great success.
5. The main character in the clips represents “captain Jack Sparrow” with a robotic arm and leg,
Johnny Depp was kind enough to take a short video for our company.

Anca - Sales
My name is Anca and I work in sales. My key responsibilities are:
1. Selection of suppliers: I make sure that we choose the right suppliers to ensure that our products are
of the best quality.
2. Developing Sales Strategies: I work on developing strategies to help us meet and exceed our sales
goals.
3. Maintaining customer relationships: I make sure we maintain our relationships with existing
customers and treat them with respect and professionalism.
4. Attracting new customers: I strive to bring in new customers to increase the sales and profit of the
company.
5. Informing employees about rewards: I help employees understand the benefits and rewards they
can get, motivating them to improve their performance.
These responsibilities not only help the organization grow and prosper, but also maintain a positive
and productive work environment.

As a sales person, I would emphasize the following about myself:


1. Skills: I am a skilled communicator and problem solver. Patience and common sense help me
handle difficult situations calmly.
2. Personality Traits: I am an open and friendly person, which helps me build strong relationships with
clients. I am also very organized which helps me to complete my tasks in an efficient manner.
3. Achievements: I have helped to increase sales in the companies I have worked for, leading to a
significant increase in profit.
4. Experience: I have extensive experience in sales, which makes me understand the needs and
expectations of customers.
5. Education: I have a degree in computer science, which gives me a solid understanding of
technology, an essential aspect in today's business world. I believe these qualities make me suitable
for the sales role.
Relationship between group members: I work closely with Mihaela to develop marketing campaigns.
We complement each other with ideas and strategies to achieve company goals.
I really like what I do. It's a constant challenge, but it's rewarding when I see how satisfied customers
are with our products and services. I love helping people find the right solutions for their needs.
If we decide to outsource certain services or production, it is because it allows us to focus on our
strengths while our partners handle the aspects they can handle more efficiently. It is a strategy that
helps us increase our efficiency and competitiveness.

Horia - Management
In the dynamic and ever-evolving field of prosthetics, my role as the Head of Management at
Harmonia Medical Prosthetics Company has been a fulfilling and transformative journey. Over the
past several years, I have had the privilege of leading a talented team, navigating challenges, and
contributing to the advancement of innovative prosthetic solutions. Five responsibilities that I have
are:

challenges faced by our team. As the Head of Management, I established a vision that prioritized

Claudiu - IT
I work in the IT (Information Technology) department at a prosthetics medical company. The
department plays a crucial role in supporting and enhancing various aspects of the organization. Here
are some key functions and responsibilities that the IT department can perform:

I think the main qualities that recommend me for this job are my technical skills that are mandatory
for this job, my analytical and critical thinking that help at solving difficult problems and my attention
to details are my main strong points that can lead to the company's development.
Most of the time i work with Mădălina from the customer care department in order to ensure that
our products are working in the right parameters and resolve the problems that the customers are
reporting to us.
Working in this company can be a fulfilling and meaningful experience, as it involves contributing
to the improvement of people's lives by providing them with innovative and functional solutions.

David - Purchasing
I work in Purchasing. As the name implies, my department is in charge of everything related to the
procurement of any necessary goods. My responsibilities include:
1. Purchasing raw materials and other goods: I am tasked with buying the raw materials
required for the production of our prostheses, but also the equipment and the supplies necessary
for its maintenance.

2. Finding suppliers: My job involves finding suppliers who are reliable and offer a great
quality to price ratio.

3. Keeping costs down: It is my duty to negotiate and secure contracts which offer the best
prices for us.

4. Monitoring stock: I have to make sure that we always have all of the materials required to
maintain a smooth production process.

5. Paperwork and accounting: We handle all of the paperwork involved with the purchase and
delivery process. We also have to make sure that all the deliveries are paid for, and that they are
always on time.

Some qualities that make me suitable for this job are my meticulosity, which is required to ensure that
we always have all the needed materials, and my knowledge in this field, which combined with my
negotiation skills allows me to secure the best offers available.

I mostly collaborate with Horia, who works in management. We work together to make feasible
targets for our company and to make sure that we have every necessary resource to be able to fulfill
said goals.

I find working at this company fulfilling, despite its demanding nature. I enjoy the process and the
thought that I indirectly made someone’s life better.

Mădălina - Customer Care


I work in Customer Care. Working in customer care in a medical prosthesis company involves
providing support and assistance to customers who use or are interested in the company’s products.
I provide clear and accurate information about the company’s products, including their use,
maintenance and any associated costs.
Some key aspects of my role are:
1. I respond to customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback through various communication
channels such as phone, email, or live chat.
2. I educate customers on how to properly use and care for their prosthetic devices.
3. I ensure that customer care practices align with relevant medical and industry regulations and
standards.
4. I participate in ongoing training to enhance customer service skills and product knowledge.
5. I develop a deep understanding of the medical prostheses offered by the company.
I think I am suitable for Customer Care because I’m a skilled communicator and a natural problem
solver. I listen to people’s needs and try to come with an effective solution that best meets their needs.
Also, I have emotional intelligence which helps me adapt to the personality of any client and I know
how to approach them.
Overall, working in customer care in a medical prosthesis company requires a combination of
technical knowledge, communication skills, empathy and a commitment to helping customers
improve their quality of life through the use of company’s products.
I work closely with Anca and Mihaela, because collaboration with the sales and marketing teams is
essential for providing accurate information about product availability, pricing and promotions. I also
have a regular communication with Gabriela for training programs and employee development.
Regular communication with leadership helps in aligning customer care strategies with overall
business objectives, so I also collaborate with Horia.
My job is very rewarding because I like to see the clients happy and pleased with our products.

Gabriela - Human Resources


I am the HR director. One of the Human Resources Department responsibilities is hiring the right
people for this company. My primary focus involves managing the unique talent needs of Harmonia
Medical. This includes recruiting individuals with specialised skills in areas such as prosthetic design,
biomechanics and healthcare. Another key responsibility of this department is making sure that
employees work in a healthy and safe environment. I play a crucial role in supporting employee
well-being and ensuring a workplace environment that is both physically and emotionally supportive
since here, at Harmonia Medical, we also care about our employees.
Some of my primary duties are:
1. I lead the recruitment process to identify and attract skilled professionals in these fields
(biomechanics, healthcare, etc) ensuring the company has a qualified and diverse workforce.
2. Addressing concerns and providing support to enhance overall well being is what makes me a
mediator and advocate to maintain a healthy and collaborative workplace culture.
3. I always have to stay updated on industry regulations and standards, ensuring that the
company adheres to legal requirements in areas such as employment law, safety and
healthcare compliance.
4. In what concerns training and development, i try to facilitate programs to enhance employees’
skills and knowledge, supporting their professional growth.
5. I do my best to shape and nurture a positive and inclusive organisational culture that aligns
with the company’s mission( encourage diversity, fostering an environment where employees
feel valued and engaged in their work).
My suitability for this job stems from my possession of strong interpersonal and communication
skills. I have a background in this domain and also my interest in healthcare-related industries
provides valuable insights.
In a comprehensive manner, my combination of skills, knowledge and dedication positions me as an
excellent fit for contributing to the company’s mission of improving lives through innovative

I work closely with all the departments, but the most I collaborate with Claudiu since his departament
plays a crucial role in the company.
