A RESOLUTION CONCURRING THE APPOINTMENT OF SANGGUNIANG
KABATAAN TREASURER AND SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN SECRETARY OF
BARANGAY QUEZON, CITY OF SURIGAO
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 7 of R.A. 10742, otherwise known as the Sangguniang
Kabataan Reform Act of 2015, RA 10742 the Sangguniang Kabataan Secretary and
Sangguniang Kabataan Treasurer shall be appointed by the SK Chairperson with the
concurrence of the majority of all the SK members from among the members of the KK;
WHEREAS, Mr. Kelly Marvin P. Cavite and Cyrha Bless Requilman possesses all
the qualifications and none of the disqualifications to the position as the SK Treasurer
and SK Secretary of this Barangay
WHEREAS, Mr. Kelly Marvin P. Cavite and Miss Cyrha Bless Requilman was
recently appointed as SK Treasurer and SK Secretary of Brgy. Quezon Surigao city on
November 24, 2023.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved and it is hereby resolved to confirm the
appointment of Mr. Kelly Marvin P. Cavite and Miss Cyrha Bless Requilman of
Barangay Quezon, Surigao City, Surigao Del Norte until the end of the term of the
appointing authority unless sooner removed.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Barangay
Quezon Office, for their information and record.

KABATAAN TREASURER OF BARANGAY QUEZON, CITY OF SURIGAO
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 13 Chapter II of R.A. 10742. the SK Treasurer
shall be appointed by the SK Chairperson with the concurrence of the
Sangguniang Members;
WHEREAS, Mr. Kelly Marvin P. Cavite. possesses all the qualifications and
none of the disqualifications to the position as the SK Treasurer of this
Barangay.
WHEREAS, this resolution remains effective and subsisting and has not been amended
revoke, superseded.

Edulzura SK Chairperson and Kelly Marvin P. Cavite as official signatories for check
withdrawals, deposit and other legal financial transaction of Barangay Quezon, Surigao
City, Surigao del Norte.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution be forwarded to the Land Bank
of The Philippines and to the Offices concern for information and guidance.

A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE BARANGAY COUNCIL TO RELEASE THE
SK 10% SHARE OF SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN BARANGAY QUEZON
AMOUNTING SIXTY THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED PESOS (61,500) FROM THE
MONTH OF NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER 2023
WHEREAS, in accordance to the above provision of the law,
Sangguniang Kabataan is a special youth legislature in their Barangay
that initiates programs, policies, and projects for youth development,
and obliged to register to Bureau of Internal Revenue to account its
transactions as one of the duly recognized as non-profit organization;
WHEREAS, Chapter II Section 13, Par(a) in RA 10742 or also known as Sangguniang
Kabataan Reform Act of 2015 states that “Ten Percent (10%) of the general fund of the
barangay shall be set aside for the Sangguniang Kabataan. The Sangguniang Kabataan
shall appropriate the SK funds in lump-sum which shall be disbursed solely for youth
development and empowerment purposes.”
WHEREAS, Chapter II, Section 20, Par (b) of the same Act states that “The
Sangguniang Kabataan shall have financial independence in its operations, disbursement
and encashment of their fund, income and expenditures. As such, the SK Funds be
deposited in the name of the Sangguniang Kabataan of the concerned barangay in a
government-owned bank.
NOW THEREFORE, on a motion REQUESTING THE PUNONG BARANGAY
HON. ANTHONY B. CAVITE AND BARANGAY TREASURER ANALOU DELA
CERNA AND THE BARANGAY COUNCIL MEMBERS TO TRANSFER THE 10%
SK FUND 5 DAYS AFTER THE IRA DEPOSITED IN THE ACCOUNT OF THE
BARANGAY.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the Barangay Treasurer is hereby authorized to issue a
bank check payable to SK Treasurer.
