7 things introverts don't
realize they do
Sometimes we carry out actions without realizing it because they have
become habitual. People with introverted personalities interact uniquely
with their surroundings and the information they receive. These habits
become ingrained in their daily routine, and they perform them
automatically without notice. These habits have many advantages, and as
individuals gain experience, they become an integral part of their
personality, transforming previously unknown areas into assets.
1. They position themselves as far as possible
People with introverted personalities have a talent for finding
inconspicuous spots to place themselves in social situations like concerts,
festivals, and others. Unless they have a specific reason to be in the front
row, introverts seek to avoid being the center of attention. Upon arrival
at a new location, they quickly survey the area and then look for a "
haven" away from prying eyes. This is because introverts often feel they
are being judged, usually in a negative way. Every time someone looks
their way and says something they can't hear, they begin to worry.
Fortunately, introverts have a clever way of thinking that allows them to
manage excessive rumination caused by external factors. They
strategically choose a plan to avoid feeling overwhelmed by doubt,
shame, and stress. The farther back they position themselves, the more
secure they feel. By analyzing the crowd in front of them, they can decide
whether it is safe to move forward. This demonstrates that introverts are
good at anticipating potential problems and avoiding risky situations.
2. They carefully analyze the environment
The analysis is specific to introverts and accumulates the necessary
information in case they decide to operate with the person in question or
simply analyze it out of curiosity. If they have a hidden interest, they will
undoubtedly analyze more deeply and carefully the people around them.
Unlike extroverted personalities who often speak without thinking it
through, introverts usually analyze the situation or person in question
silently and with maximum discretion, formulate an appropriate
argument in their mind, and at the right time say it. This process is
speedy. It takes a few tens of seconds and can handle even less if the
person in question has had similar experiences or has a profound reason
that gives them the courage to act immediately.
Introverts often tend to analyze situations automatically. This habit can
be highly advantageous in absorbing crucial information about the social
environment, thus minimizing any chances of errors.
3. Keep things secret without being told to
Introverts are discreet in all aspects, including when it comes to secrets.
They are good listeners and people of the most significant trust. They
store a lot of information, and they rarely take it out. They use the stored
content when they reflect on things or are about to decide something and
need informational material. Although some things they discover are not
secret, introverts prefer to keep them hidden for different reasons. One
reason would be that they empathize with the situation and want to
prevent the reported disasters. The second reason is that they may
connect with the information and want to avoid saying it to protect
themselves. It can also be because they put themself in the place of the
person in question and realizes that they don't want the information to
be found out. A well-founded reason would be the fact that they are going
to use the information for their own purposes without revealing it to
anyone.
4. Can create their refuge anywhere
Any introvert needs time alone to recharge. Sometimes the situation does
not allow that well-deserved oasis of peace. In that case, the introverted
personality automatically finds refuge in their mind. External this
happens when they stop talking, even with close friends, and internally,
they think deeply about pleasant scenarios. It's a very advanced tension
release system that occurs automatically. It is the best solution for people
who can't withdraw from the social environment and want to relax. It
does not last very long and is very beneficial for mental recharging.
5. Allocates daily time for meditation
Meditation is essential for all, but it is vital for introverted personalities.
They make time for this deep thinking daily, often between actions or on
their time, so they don't even realize they're doing it.
They arrange their thoughts through meditation, reflect on the past, and
project the future. The reason why only introverted personalities do it
every day is that they rarely express themselves. Therefore, they have to
discuss some aspects that cannot be shared with other people with their
own person.
6. Maintain their point of view until the last
moment
As mentioned above, introverted personalities have an innate gift for
projecting future possibilities, making them think deeply before doing or
saying something. Having a very high emphatic function and a detailed
analysis, introverts usually guess how those around them feel or how they
might feel. An externalized point of view has consequences, and
introverted personalities know them well, so they know exactly if it is
appropriate to say what they have to say or not. Suppose they are
involved in a more personal problem. In that case, they can use this
ability to guess what others feel and express themselves in their interest.
Introverts can heal relationships with those around them, supporting or
breaking them just as quickly. It all depends on why introverted
personalities keep their point of view hidden or make it known. However,
introverts often strategically plan everything and may need to figure out
exactly what to say. Still, they certainly know when to say it.
7. Review and draw up dozens of scenarios in their
minds
Introverted personalities are not the most actionable, so they prefer to
observe and integrate informatively. Although they might not analyze
them at the moment, they will surely do it later. For example, they are
unlikely to act if they notice a disturbing thing in passing. Still, they will
remember what they saw, and after, they will reflect on the alarming
thing and draw dozens of conclusions or possible future events. This is
very good in certain situations. Instead of acting hastily and possibly
wrongly, it is better to think carefully about the next move. It is also
possible to avoid socializing with certain people because of the recent
scenarios outlined. This avoidance is usual and has a good protective
role.
