AtmosAir’s goal is to restore the air inside your home or building to the quality found at mountain elevations,
where high ion levels occur naturally.
Ions On A Mission
The positively and negatively charged ions generated by the AtmosAir system
mimic the process that occurs in nature and actively attract, bind, and
neutralize all types of pollutants from the air in indoor environments.

Beneficial Effects of Bi-Polar Ionization
Effectiveness on Dust, Mold Spores
Particle Reduction Laboratory Testing INTERTEK
The bi-polar process causes oppositely
charged ions to attract particles. This will
cause particle agglomeration. Particles
decay out of the breathing range much
faster than they ordinarily would.
The particles are displaced from the
breathing range by the ionization
process. The particles are now cleaned
by the HVAC filters. The filters will operate
more efficiently since it will trap these
now larger particles.
The bi-polar ionization not only reduces
the particles from the air before spread
into the room, but also the outside air
since less particles need less ventilation. Natural 12.8% AtmosAir 85.8% Natural 67.1% AtmosAir 91.1%

How Bi-polar Ionization Works
Mechanism for Inactivating Airborne Fungi
• Ions surround the mold spore.
• Ion break mold spore protein shell.
• Renders them inactive and unable to spread.
Mechanism for Inactivating Airborne Allergens
• Ions surround the airborne allergen and
change into highly reactive hydroxyl radicals.
• The hydroxyls then deactivate the molecules of
the IgE antibody binding site of the allergen.
• No allergic symptoms occur even if allergens
enter the body.
Mechanism for Inactivating Airborne Virus
• Ions attach themselves to virus.
• Ions pull hydrogen molecule off of virus to
combine and form water vapor.
• Renders virus inactive and cannot infect even
if it enters the body.

Beneficial Effects of Bi-Polar Ionization
Moving and Conditioning OA Typically Represents:
At least 35% (typically 50%) of total building energy consumption.
AtmosAir Bi-Polar Ionization:
Can Reduce OA Requirements up to 50% within ASHRAE
62.1/IMC code
Takes up little space within duct a duct or air handler.
Has little to no pressure drop.
Requires negligible power to operate.

AtmosAir and UV are Very Complementary Systems
Both should be used for the greatest results for treating airborne microorganisms such as the
corona virus. But what is the difference and why would my customer need both:
UV is a passive system :
1. UV will treat the cooling/heating coils, preventing buildup of molds and bacteria. This
prevents the build up from becoming a source for airborne microorganisms.
2. UV on the filters will kill microorganisms that may become trapped in the filter.
UV’s effectiveness is limited by the fact that air flow is often too fast for UV to kill any airborne
microorganisms.
Given that viruses and bacteria are transmitted person to person, UV is also limited in treating
person to person transmission.
AtmosAir Advantage – Continuous Disinfection
• AtmosAir is placed AFTER the coils and filters. AtmosAir is a proactive means to prevent
person to person transmission of microorganisms.
• AtmosAir Ions are pushed into the air. There they interact with microorganisms conducting
several functions including:
ü Breaking apart the membrane rendering them inactive
ü Surrounding the microorganism, rendering it unable to interact with human cells
ü Causing microorganisms and the particles carrying them to agglomerate and fall out of
the air
ü Causing fewer microorganisms to collect on fomite surfaces (surfaces that are frequent
sources of transmission)
ü Causing microorganisms and the particles that they collect on to be captured more
easily when they pass by building filters
• Given the substantial economic implications of infections spreading through any office
spaces, it is prudent to deploy both UV and AtmosAir as means to control airborne
infections.

Aarata
Tokyo, Japan
SITUATION
Dust, dirt, serious odors, germs, bacteria and viruses in the indoor air.
RESULTS
• Odors reduced.
• Employee moral and focus improved.
• Client and staff complaints dropped significantly.
• No reported Flu cases at PwC’s AtmosAir purified offices while
many building tenants was getting sick on other floors.
• The building landlord has requested to install AtmosAir in other
areas of the Otemachi Park Complex.

Case Study | Gensler
Shanghai, China
IMPLEMENTATION:
• AtmosAir units installed in ducts covering whole
office area.
• IAQ sensors installed throughout the office.
RESULTS:
TVOC stays lower than 0.25
• Moved in right after renovation completion – rent National Limit 0.6, 60% Reduction!
savings.
• Renovation smells were minimized.
• Air quality data was shared with staff via a QR
code and weekly reports.
Case Study | Education First
Multiple Locations, Shanghai
• EF was expanding into their basement and needed to move
people in quickly after renovation.
• They installed 6 508F systems in their outside air ducts.
• Employees moved in within a week after renovation handover and
furniture delivery.
• Some employees actually chose to move to the basement as they
could tell the air quality was better there.
• Air Quality test was conducted over 17 points in the basement.
• AtmosAir systems had been operating for one month, furniture had
been delivered 2 weeks prior to the test.
23
Case Study | Education First
Multiple Locations, Shanghai
• Average levels:
• PM 2.5 – 29, 39% of national limit,
• TVOC – 0.268, 44% of national limit,
• Formaldehyde – 0.021, 21% of national limit,
• Benzene – 0.009, 10% of national limit,
• Toluene – 0.018, 9% of national limit,
• Ammonia – 0.05, 25% of national limit,
• EF continued to install AtmosAir for the 1st to 4th floor.
• After Education First proved that they had VOCs well below the government
limits, they reduced outside air intake as per the ASHRAE 62.1 code.
• Less outside air meant less heating and cooling for the building.
• Education First estimates they saved 18% off of their air conditioning bill by
making this adjustment.
