SHORT FILM CONCEPT
The story is about a young man who is jobless. The problem is being jobless. He believes
dishonesty is what is holding him back to be jobless. What will he do now that he wants a job?
Dishonesty is costing him to connect well with others. He feels isolated.
Elijah is his friend. He believes being honesty. Where Elijah works, there is a vacancy. Dan is
dishonesty, dirty and drunkard while Elijah is neat, honest and hardworking.
The supervisor always checks on neatness, and general employee behaviors.
The structure
1) Dan- main character
2) He wants a job
3) Elijah offers to help
4) Dan tries to avoid job due to rules and strictness
5) Dan agrees to go for it; anyway, he wants a job
6) Dan is going to have let down his walls(obstacles)
7) Dan goes for job
8) Dan accepts himself.

1st SHOT:
Introduces Dan as the main character and also his major problems

PART I
We are living in a harsh economic times for many people in the country. This is understood by many
who not also facing financial and employment crisis but who are economically stable. Some of them
have gone extra miles to starts micro-businesses to reach the young generation who are majorly
affected. In the survey, we found one of the business which deals with beauty. They are specialized in
shaving, pedicure, manicure, facial services and many other beauty related services. This is a project
started by an individual to help the youth. From the look, it a business that its approximate initial cost
indicates the willingness of the proprietor to help the youth.
In the surrounding, there is no any other type of business like that one. This means they enjoy
monopolistic operation. When it comes to operation, the business has an operating manager who
manages the activities and staffs. Like any other business, the business has some rules and regulations
that governs its operation. They include; not taking alcohol while at work, keeping the place of work
clean and always being at the place of work among others. So one has to adhere to these rules for one
to be accommodated.

Inside, I found a one of the staffs who looked unstable while working. His name is Daniel or if you like
call him Dan. Dan who is still in his youth age, he always finds himself on the wrong side of the manager
as well as of customers. In the morning, Dan would do his work very well but immediately he breaks for
tea time, in coming back he automatically becomes a different person. The reason being that when he
breaks for tea break, he uses that time to drink alcohol and comes back when drunk. Contrary to the
rules of operation which prohibits one from consuming alcohol while at work.
After coming while drunk, he becomes unstable; therefore not performing his task the way it is
supposed to be. This leads to quarrelling with customers at the same time poor relationship with the
manager. He doesn’t care about working equipment; you will find him throwing them even on the floors
despite having shelves and drawers to store them.
Now we have a cashier who deals with money issues, and the payments are made in the evening of the
day after work. And at the same time he has to buy alcohol, he ends up stealing the money where they
are kept so as to meet his ‘need’. This worsened the situation forcing the manager to give him warning
letters.
On his side, he thinks that the colleagues are being unfair and jealous to him. And that due to his
‘hardworking’, he deserves promotion and even a good work.
PART III
CONCLUSION
It’s good for one to take care and value what is in the hands as one chases for the favorite. Our personal
demands should not make us suffer in future and bring regrets in our hearts. Honest, discipline and trust
are the key for crossing the other ‘sweet’ side of life.
This in return brings respect and happiness on your door step. The images and vides will tell more about
the story of Dan.
