Philippines?
Because they have different TIME ZONES.
LEARNING TARGET
● Tell the time at a particular point in time
● Analyze the difference of the different
places in terms of time
● Value the importance of time zone chart in
determining the time and locating places

live.
● Find the time zone you want and count how many
time zones awayit is from yours.
● Determine if the new time zone is eastor west of
where you live.
TELLING TIME
● If it is east, add one hourfor each time zone away
it is from your time.
● If it is west, subtract one hourfor each time zone
away it is from your time.
TELLING TIME
● Remember that each of the 24 time zones covers
distance of 15°.
● Remember that the time is the same with in the zone.
Know the longitude and the timeof the places being
● compared.
Know how many time zones(15°each) the two places
● are away from each other.
If it is 8 A.M. in the
Philippines and you go 3
time zones east
EXAMPLE
8 + 3 = 11
Therefore, it is 11 A.M.in
the new time zone
If it is 8 A.M. in the
Philippines and you go 3
time zones west
EXAMPLE
8 -3 = 11
Therefore, it is 5 A.M.in
the new time zone
If it is 6 A.M. in the
Philippines and you go 2
time zones east
EXAMPLE
6+2=8
Therefore, it is 8 A.M.in
the new time zone
If it is 6 A.M. in the
Philippines and you go 2
time zones west
EXAMPLE
6 -2 = 4
Therefore, it is 4 A.M.in
the new time zone
