NOTIFICATION REGARDING INTERVIEW IN THE DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH

With reference to the application for the post of Assistant Professor in the Department of English, the following
candidates who have been shortlisted for the interview are hereby requested to appear before the Selection
Committee on the date and time given against their application no. for an interview at 9.30 AM (First
Session)/1.00 PM (Second Session) in the Council Room of the Gargi College, Siri Fort, New Delhi – 110 049.

Reporting time: 08.30 AM (First Session)/12.30 PM (Second Session).

The candidates are requested to bring all the original certificates relating to their qualifications, experience, NET
qualification, Date of Birth, Research Publications etc. and SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/EWS Certificate, if applicable.
The candidates are also requested to bring a “No Objection Certificate” from their employer, in case they have
not sent their application through proper channel.

Note: 1. Mere shortlisting will not entitle a candidate for interview if they are otherwise not be eligible as
per UGC guidelines/non production of all the requisite documents in original.

2. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview

3. All OBC and EWS Category candidates must produce a valid certificate issued on or after
1.4.2022, failing which they will not be allowed to appear under respective category.

4. In case, the interview could not be completed for a candidate on a particular day, the
candidate(s) will be called for the same on the following day.

5. Candidates have to arrange for their own accommodation. The college is not responsible for
any boarding and lodging of the candidates.

6. Candidates not reporting as per the Scheduled Reporting Time, will not be allowed for the
interview.

7. Only shortlisted candidates are being informed the schedule of their interview date &
time on their registered email.

8. The candidates are advised to check the college website regularly for updates.

9. The college has received the applications under UR, OBC, SC, ST, EWS and PwBD category.
Since there is no vacancy as per the advertisement released by the College under SC and ST
category, candidates of these categories have been considered under UR category.
