A Subsidiary of Colony Textile Mills Limited (Since 1946)


Colony Group

• Entered the cotton ginning sector in 1881


• Diversified into flour milling by early 1900s
• First textile spinning mill was setup in 1946 under name of Colony Textile Mills Limited (CTM).
• The Group further ventured into Banking, Insurance, Cement, Power Generation & Distribution
• The nationalization of 1972 took most of the business away, leaving Textile and Insurance in the
Group
• Presently, company is operating in Spinning, Weaving, Sugar, Logistics & Farming sectors with
about 283,000 Spindles, 2,880 Open End Rotter’s and 456 Air Jet Looms
• In 2019 CTM started its state of the art workwear garment unit [StitchRite (Pvt) Limited]
• All manufacturing units of CTM have in-house power generation capability
CML established its Workwear Stitching Unit in 2019 in order
to further leverage from its strength in woven fabric
manufacturing, producing about 6 million meters of fabric a
month.

The unit is equipped with state of the art machinery from well
known brands including Juki, Kansai & IMA-Italy. StitchRite is
equipped to produce about 60-65,000 Pieces a month based
on product mix & operational complexities.
