Useful idioms for any topic in ielts speaking

 Expressing opinions
My take on this = my opinion = to my way of thinking ( it’s the good idea)
I’m in two minds about this(if you not sure)…on the one hand…on the other hand
I think . I’m on the fence
 Like and dislikes
Like :Do you like…= it’s the bees knees=it’s the best
Dislike : I can take it or leave it
If you dislike something. You can say “ it’s not my cup of tea”
 Things that confuse you
Sb says “ what do think of artifical intelligence”
Well, to be honest, I can’t make head or tail of it
I can’t get my head around it
In ielts speaking part 2. I’m gonna talk about -> the person I’m gonna talk about is

 Saying things/places/people are very good
If you want to describe a person a thing or a place as being very good
Ex: I’m gonna talk about a celebrity a famous singer, celine dion. Who else. None
other than celine dion. I could say celine dion
… is hands down the best
….is second to none
….is a cut above the rest
I think the world of…
All of these expressions mean. She’s the best
 Saying things/places/people are very normal
Run of the mill= nothing special, ordinary.
 Saying things…. Not too good
It’s not a patch on
It can’t hold a candle to
