ABSTRACT
The major purpose of this project is to use a Split Source inverter to minimise the lower order
harmonics from the input current. Inverters are utilised in a wide range of applications, such
as variable-speed ac motor drives, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), AC operating
appliances used in automobile batteries, and power transmission sector components such as
reactive power controllers and adaptive power filters.
This paper's literature contains a wide range of inverters, including five phase voltage source
inverters, five phase current source inverters, Z-Source inverters, and split source inverters.
This abstract describes a proposal on a 5-phase split source inverter for EVs. Because of
various advantages, the ZSI outperforms the VSI and CSI. The ZSI was recently dominated
by the split source inverter (SSI).
The SSI is a one-stage dc ac power converter. It offers various advantages, including great
efficiency, cheap cost, and ease of control. The SSI is utilised in variable applications such as
ac motors with varying speeds and ups. Boosting action in a single stage converter with
fewer passive components and reduced input current ripple. The SSI and analysis for several
split source inverter approaches, such as level shifted sinusoidal PWM (SM), will be
discussed and given in detail in MATLAB/Simulink.
