Welcome, esteemed alumni of Sta. Lucia High School! We are excited to announce the commencement
of the Alumni Basketball League, a thrilling event that will bring together graduates from Batch 2001 to
2018 for some friendly competition and a great cause. Here are the guidelines for the league:
1. Objective:
The primary objective of the Sta. Lucia High School Alumni Basketball League is to foster camaraderie,
sportsmanship, and support for the school's activities and the Grand Alumni Fund. This event aims to bring
alumni together for an enjoyable and purposeful experience.
2. Participation:
The league is open to all alumni from Batch 2001 to 2018 who have an interest in basketball and a
commitment to contributing to the school's initiatives. Each batch is encouraged to form their own team.
3. Registration:
Each team must complete their registration by submitting the registration form along with a registration
fee of PHP500. This fee will be counted towards the overall quota of PHP25,000.
Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis, so it is advisable to complete the process early to
secure a spot.
4. Quota and Fund Allocation:
1. The total quota for the league is PHP25,000, inclusive of uniforms and other necessary expenses.
2. The funds collected will be allocated as follows:
a. 70% will be utilized for school activities, projects, and improvements, benefiting the
current students.
b. 30% will be added to the Grand Alumni Fund, which supports long-term projects and
initiatives for the school's development.
5. Uniforms and Equipment:
1. Each registered team will receive a set of basketball uniforms, which they must wear during the
league matches.
2. Basic basketball equipment, such as basketballs and first-aid kits, will be provided during the
games.
6. Game Schedule and Format:
• The league will be conducted on weekends to accommodate the participants' work schedules.
• The specific game schedule will be communicated to the team captains once the registration is
complete.
• The league will follow a round-robin format, with each team playing against all other teams in the
league.
• The top two teams from the round-robin stage will compete in the Grand Finals.
7. Code of Conduct:
• All participants must uphold the spirit of sportsmanship and fair play throughout the league.
• Any form of unsportsmanlike behavior, including violence, foul language, or disrespect towards
others, will not be tolerated and may result in disqualification.
• Participants are expected to adhere to the rules and decisions made by the league organizers.
8. Award and Recognition:
• The winning team of the Grand Finals will receive a trophy and special recognition during the
school's alumni events.
• Individual awards, such as "Most Valuable Player" and "Best Sportsmanship," will also be given at
the end of the league.
9. Event Promotion:
Alumni are encouraged to promote the event among their batchmates and through social media
platforms to ensure maximum participation and support.
10. Financial Transparency:
The financial report detailing the income, expenses, and allocation of funds will be made available to all
participants and alumni after the conclusion of the league.
