What do we call the words that you have formed?
Correct! They are called consonant blends.
Consonant blends are two or more consonant sounds that
come together in a word. Their sounds blend together, but each
sound is heard.
Consonant blends can be found at the beginning of each word
and we call them initial consonant blends.
Examples:
globe swing blouse
gl, sw, and bl are examples of initial consonant blends.
Final consonant blends, on the other hand, are found at the
end of a word.
