2014 - gold medal in the women's biathlon relay at the Olympics
Biathlon is the main Ukrainian winter sport with the most victories.
However, the Ukrainian biathlon team only won Olympic gold in 2014, in
Sochi, when the relay team of the Semerenko sisters, Yulia Dzhima and
Olena Pidgrushna confirmed their status as the world's strongest.
In the fight for gold, Ukraine was ahead of Russia (which would
later be disqualified for doping), and then celebrated the victory with a
blue and yellow flag. The 2014 Games were held during the Revolution
of Dignity, which was taking place in Kyiv.
2015 - "Dnipro” is a finalist in the Europa League
The closest Ukrainian football clubs came to repeating Shakhtar's
achievement was in 2015, when Dnipro reached the Europa League
final.
On the way to the final, the Dnipro club knocked out Olympiacos,
Ajax, Brugge and Napoli in turn. Only in the final did Dnipro lose in a
dramatic match to Sevilla with a score of 2-3.
2016 - Ukrainian Paralympic athletes showed the world their will to
win
The Ukrainian Paralympic team won 117 medals in Rio de Janeiro.
This is the third best result in the overall Paralympic standings. Our team
won a record 41 gold, 37 silver and 39 bronze medals. In particular,
Ukraine outperformed the United States (115 medals), and was only
behind China (239 medals) and Great Britain (147 medals).
Ukrainians traditionally perform well at the Paralympics, so we
expect success at the Tokyo Games.

The Ukrainian national team received 80 licences to Poland for the
2017 World Games and took 5th place in the team medal standings, and
1st place in the demonstration sports medal standings with 5 gold and 2

The national team represents 20 sports: Jiu-Jitsu, karate,
trampolining, sports acrobatics, dance, underwater sports, powerlifting,
Thai Muay Thai boxing, sports aerobics, sumo, WAKO kickboxing,
orienteering, squash, acrobatic track jumping, bowling, rowing in a
simulator, rhythmic gymnastics, parachuting, water skiing, and rock
climbing.

history of judo
Daria Bilodid, a Ukrainian, has rapidly broken into the cohort of the
world's best judokas. The Ukrainian has won the world championship
twice in a row, and she did it for the first time when she was 17 years
old.
She became the youngest ever adult world champion. Daria won a
bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics, but this is definitely just the
beginning.
2019 - Ukraine U20 - world football champions
Ukraine is the world football champion among juniors. This story
has happened only once (so far), and it happened in 2019. Oleksandr
Petrakov's team went undefeated throughout the tournament in Poland,
and in the final, they defeated the Republic of Korea 3-1.
2020 - Ukraine at the Summer Olympics
Ukraine took part in the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, which
took place from 21 July to 8 August 2021.
The name of the Ukrainian Olympic team for the Games was
approved on 7 July 2021 by the Executive Committee of the National
Olympic Committee of Ukraine.
These are the seventh Summer Olympic Games in which the
Ukrainian national team is participating as an independent team. The
first such competition was the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.
2021 - Jean Belenyuk's gold medal and 19 medals in Tokyo 2020
One of the main events of 2021 was the Tokyo Olympics, which
were postponed for one year. Ukraine won the fewest gold medals in
history (only one for Zhan Beleniuk), but at the same time significantly
improved its total number of medals - from 12 in Rio 2016 to 19 in Tokyo
2020.
2022 - Oleksandr Usyk defends his title
Heavyweight boxer Oleksandr Usyk defeated British boxer
Anthony Joshua in a rematch for the WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO world
titles. Unlike the first fight, the Ukrainian won by split decision - 115:113,
113:115 and 116:112. The 35-year-old Ukrainian boxer is now only one
WBC title short of the title of absolute world champion, which is held by
the British Tyson Fury.
