‘Theory:
Pash-pull Amplifier is a type of power amplifier. It contains a pair of active devices such as a
oft
cconsplementary p sistors. Here one transistor supply’s the power tothe load from the positive
ipower supply and the other sink’s the current from the load to the ground.
Class B Push-pull Amplifier:
Class B amplifier is the actual Push-Pull Amplifier. Efficiency of Class B amplifier is higher
than Class A amplifier, as it consists of two transistors NPN and PNP. The Class B amplifier circuit is
‘biased in such a way that each transistor will work on one half eycle ofthe input waveform. Therefore,
the conduetion angle ofthis typo oF amplifier citcuit is 180 Degree,

Viva-voce questions:
Define class-B amplifier
‘What are the advantages of class B over class A amplifier?
What is cross over distortion?
