1 slide - Hello everyone, today I'm going to talk about the red wolf

This wolf is of North American origin and its distribution covers the entire southeastern
part of the United States. This wolf is one of the rarest animals.
Red wolf is a critically endangered species of wolf due to:
2 slide - Ecological pressures
Illegal hunting
Destruction of their habitat
Lack of food
Direct Persecution
Habitat fragmentation
Today there are only about 250 Species of which 200 are in captivity.
To prevent this wolf from becoming extinct we can:
preserve habitats and have more control over hunting.

3 slide - It is estimated that the red wolf has developed in several types of habitats.
The habitat used by the last population was grassland swamps and river forests
Therefore, it can be deduced that the red wolf has a generalist habitat, being able to
develop in various types of ecosystems.

talking about food

This species of wolf is a carnivorous animal
They hunt in the same area for seven to ten days and then move to another region.
Among their favorite prey, we find:
Deer
Rabbits
Pigs
Rats
Otters
This wolf can, in addition, include certain types of fruit in its diet, although its main food
source is of animal origin.
Shy and secretive, red wolves hunt alone or in small groups

4 slide - Habits of the red wolf

It is mainly a nocturnal animal, which usually lives in packs and establishes a
territory as its home, where it develops exclusively, which is why it does not
allow the presence of other groups of the species.
In general, a couple of wolves found a pack, consisting of them, as alphas, and
their offspring.
Inside the pack, wolves usually live peacefully, however, this does not occur if
there is the presence of a stranger - there will be fighting, which is a common
trait among canids.
These Wolves establish a complex system of communication between them,
based on chemical signals, aspects of behavior, tactile aspects, and the
emission of various types of sounds. They also tend to delimit their territory
with olfactory signs

5 slide- talking about the reproduction of wolves

wolves live freely and usually have a single partner for life
The reproduction period occurs in the months of February and April.
The female is sometimes helped by the male to find a good den to have her
children.
Children are born with their eyes completely closed and during the first 2
months of life they are completely dependent on their mother.
They usually remain with their parents until they reach maturity, forming
small family groups or small flocks.

6 slide - Speaking of the characteristics of this wolf, it has more brown
