BV-2114 Transformer Improvement
Scope
This Information Note provides information about a product improvement in Power Integrations’ transformer
BV-2114.
Statement
The wire strip process is optimized to improve long term reliability. The wire plastic insulation remains around
the wire from inside the potting to where the wire is wrapped around the pins. The wire insulation is only
removed very closely to the pins.
The transformer’s revision number will change from BV-2114-1 to BV-2114-2.
This change has no influence on functionality.
The change will be implemented gradually from CW15 2018 onwards.
Products manufactured prior to the above mentioned date will continue to be shipped until full stock depletion.
