The Creative Arts department begins from the premise that we are all artists.

We use our curriculum time to allow

students to tap into their own creativity. Our lessons help our students to develop into life-long creators and
consumers of culture.

Drama gives young people an opportunity to build their empathy, confidence and interpersonal skills. It develops
creative minds and outside-the-box thinking. Drama students are problem-solvers and engage with the world
positively and enthusiastically. Drama as a subject gives glimpses into other lives and other times, other places and
other experiences. The core skills of Drama are directly transferable into the real world and are much prized in
industry and business as well as in creative employment arenas. Drama gives young people the skills with which to
decode and understand the world around them and to navigate their journey into and through adulthood.
