OBSERVE
1. As you observe the class, look into the characteristics of the learners. Note their ages.
Answer: From observation and questioning, most of the learners in the classes that I have observed are
on the same ages.
2. How many boys are there? How many girls?
Answer: There are about 15+ boys and 15+ girls. It varies on each section, with Anahaw and Acacia
having low number of students given that those sections are STE, and was filtered out meticulously.
3. Focus on their behavior. Are they able to manage their own behavior?
Answer: From what I have observed, the girls can manage their behavior more than boys.
4. Can the learners already work independently?
Answer: From my observation, there are some that can manage to work independently, while some
can’t, so it varies.
5. Describe their span of attention.
Answer: Most of the time, boys’ attention span is shorter than girls, except those from the STE sections
like Anahaw and Acacia.
ANALYZE
1. Are there areas in the classroom for specific purposes (storage of cleaning aids, books, students’
belongings, supplies, etc.)? Describe these areas. Will it make a difference in these are for specific purposes
are not present?
Answer: Commonly, there are areas in the classroom for specific purposes, like cleaning. This contains
cleaning materials such as brooms, dustpans, and trashcans. It will make a difference in terms of practicing
hygiene inside the classroom and proper cleaning etiquette.
2. Are the rules and procedures posted in the room? List them down. Do these rules reinforce
positive behavior?
Answer: There are rules and procedures that are posted in the room. One of them is to not cheat during an
examination and keeping the classroom clean all of the time. I personally think it imposes positive behavior
to students.
3. Did the students participate in making the classroom rules? If the Resource teacher
available, ask him/her to describe the process. What's the effect or students’ participation in
rule-making on student's behavior?
Answer: I think that the students participated in making the classroom rules for the reason that it should be
both be agreed upon by the teacher and student in any case that there are exceptions.
4. What are the daily routines done by the Resource Teacher? (prayer, attendance, assignment
of monitors, warm-up activities, etc.) How are they done?
Answer: The daily routines that the teacher does daily starts with greeting their students “good morning”,
and then proceeds to call on the attendance. After that, she would often ask students if they have done their
assignments that will be passed on that day.
5. 1s there a seating arrangement? What is the basis of this arrangement? Does this help in managing the
class?
Answer: In every class observed, there are seating arrangements. The chair and students are arranged
according to their surnames/family names. I don’t really think it helps in managing the class.
6. Observe the noise level in the classroom. How is this managed?
Answer: The noise level inside the classroom is bearable. This is managed by means of catching their
attention by name calling.
7. If a learner is not following instruction or is off-task, what does the Resource Teacher do? Describe the
behavior strategies used.
Answer: When the learner is not following instruction, the thing that the resource teacher does is to guide
them slowly, most commonly in their student’s pacing.
8. What does the Resource Teacher do to reinforce positive behaviors? (behavior strategies)
Answer: The thing that the resource teacher do to reinforce positive behavior is by means of praising them
for good deeds that they have done, in that way, they remain to stay in the path of good behavior.
REFLECT
Reflection as a future teacher
1. Why do I need to enforce positive discipline?

individuals in the near future. This also help them in order to present themselves in good light.

ANALYZE
1. How did the classroom organization and routines affect the learners’ behavior?
Answer: The classroom organization and routines affect a student’s behavior by means of letting them get
used to the things that they do in a daily basis, which would make an impression that things need to go
according to the set of plans that are prepared.
2. What should the teacher have in mind when she/he designs the classroom organization
routines? What theories and principles should you have in mind?
Answer: I think that the things that a teacher should keep in mind when they organize a classroom was the
well-being or the outcome of it towards the students they will teach as it will impact them more.
3. Which behavior strategies were effective in managing the behavior of the learners? In motivating
students? Why were they effective?
Answer: The behavior strategy that I think is very much effective is by means of praising students when
they have done well in class, not only that, encouraging them would deal them lots of positivities and
hope to participate more in class.
REFLECT
1. Imagine yourself organizing your classroom in the future. In what grade year level do you see
yourself? What routines and procedures would you consider for this level Why?
Answer: I see myself teaching in Grade 9. The routines that I will consider is checking up on the students,
in case some of them are having a bad mental space, I would go easy on them and try to focus on their
mental wellbeing first.
2. Make a list of the rules you are likely to implement in this level. Why would you choose these rules?
Answer:
- Maintaining cleanliness and order.
- Checking your well-being
- Keep yourself and your things to be organized.
I chose these rules as it not only keeps order in the classroom but also in my students.
3. Should learners be involved in making the class rules? Why?
Answer: I think learners should be involved in making school rules as it would help me to identify what
things they might be uncomfortable with and it will help me to be much more considerate as a teacher.
SHOW Your Learning Artifacts
Paste pieces of evidence of classroom rules that work in the class. You may also put pictures of the
physical space and learning stations which contribute to the effective implementation of classroom
management.
