EVENT OVERVIEW

On Monday, 10th of October 2022 from 7:00 AM to 12:00 NN, the day that newly elected
officers of both academic and non-academic organizations were officially recognized after the
oath-taking ceremony. This annual event of SCO was always an important ceremonial gesture
signifying the official start to one's term in office. Importantly, it is a means for the official to
make a public commitment to the duties, responsibilities, and obligations with the holding
organization for A.Y 2022-2023. Aside from a major event - oath-taking, the Student Council
Organization has also conducted an Exhibit with the cooperation and coordination with the
Academic and Non-Academic organization of PUPSRC that desires— for the Academic
Organizations, it is to orient their respective organization members about their accomplishments
and how their community works. Also, to give their Co-Iskolar ng Bayan a glimpse of what life
they have. On the Other hand, for Non- Academic Organizations, this event helps them to
encourage the students to join their respective organization through showing what they can do
and offer. Welcome walk was also a part of the event where it aimed to give a fire in their first
day of classes after the Online class as the students hadn’t experienced face to face classes in the
past 2 years. This 5-hour event happened in the campus of Santa Rosa, Polytechnic University of
the Philippines.

Details of the Event


Expected attendees at the said event are approximately 100 participants per Academic
Organizations excluding the SCO officers, head of the academic, student, and administrative
services, advisers, and guest performers. The event was held at the Polytechnic University of the
Philippines Santa Rosa Campus on the date of October 10, 2022 (Monday), 7:00 in the Morning
up until 12:00 NN.

Objectives of the Event


● To give a warm welcome to the Iskolar ng Bayan on the return of limited face to face
classes this Academic Year
● To introduce the newly elected officers of Academic and Non-Academic Organizations.
ACCOMPLISHMENT ON THE EVENT

A. Event Preparations

The Student Council organization orient the Academic Organizations to only have a
maximum of 100 students per Organization including their officers and to create a list of attendees
as seen above. The list of elected officers from each Academic and Non-Academic Organization
were also gathered for the Oath Taking Ceremony.

In addition, the student body gave time to prepare for the designs of the venue to encourage
the students to join in the event.

B. Event Day

This program was initiated by the Student Council Organization, with the approval of the
administration, to give our Iskolar ng Bayan a warm welcome on the return of limited face to face
classes this Academic Year. Moreover, this event is a perfect ground to let the student familiarize
and be aware of their respective organization officers. Hence, the introduction to the newly elected
officers of Academic and Non-Academic Organizations happens, followed by the oath taking,
and Isko and Iska visitation to the prepared booths.

EVENT NARRATIVE

ATTENDANCE:

The freshmen orientation was attended by all freshmen students, student


organization officers, all faculty and staff, including all faculty designees on each offices. The
event was held at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines Santa Rosa Campus on the date of
November 24 and 25, 2022 (Thursday and Friday), 8:30 in the Morning up until 1:30 in the
Afternoon. The schedule of the orientation per program are as follows:

EVENT OVERVIEW

Christmas is a significant celebration in the Philippines, and our countrymen take pride in
these unique traditions and rituals. Hence, the PUP SRC Belen Lighting 2022 took place on
Thursday, December 15, 2022, at the PUP SRC University Grounds. The event was spearheaded
by the PUP SRC Administration headed by our Campus Director, Dr. Leny V. Salmingo, with
the support of the PUP SRC Student Council Organization. The event was attended by students
from First to Fourth Year.
The Belen Lighting began with a prayer, followed by an opening remark from Dr. Leny.
Afterwards, the PUP Administration took part in the Designing and Lighting of the Belen, with a
reenactment of the Nativity Scene narrated by Prof. Angelita Nocon and with the participation of
students. And during the course of the event, selected PUPians, including the Student Council
Organization, showcased their talents by performing some of the country's well-loved Christmas
carols. To formally close the event, Dr. Gilfred A. Acierto gave his closing remarks

ACCOMPLISHMENT ON THE EVENT
A. Event Preparations

To secure the compliance of our Sintang Paaralan with the underlying precautionary
measure against the Covid-19, the Student Council organization orient the Academic
Organizations to only have a maximum of 20 students per Organization including their officers
and to create a list of attendees as seen above. The Admins and the Student Council Organization
collaborated in the Belen tableau and lightings that will be presented in the main event.
The student body prepared the materials needed for the Belen and the Admins arranged
the stage for the event.

B. Event Day

The PUP SRC University Grounds hosted the first-ever Belen Lighting last Thursday,
December 15th. The PUP SRC Administration, led by Dr. Leny V. Salmingo, our campus
director, and assisted by the PUP SRC Student Council Organization, organized the event.
Students from First to Fourth Year attended the event.
A prayer was said before Dr. Leny made his introductory remarks at the Belen Lighting.
After then, with the help of students and a recreation of the Nativity Scene recounted by Prof.
Angelita Nocon, the PUP Administration took part in designing and lighting the Belen. Also,
throughout the event, a few PUP students, including the Student Council Organization, displayed
their skill by singing some of the nation's most well-known Christmas carols. Dr. Gilfred A.
Acierto made his closing remarks to formally end the program.

EVENT OVERVIEW

On February 21st – 22nd of 2022, the Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Sta.
Rosa Campus celebrated its 20th Founding Anniversary with the theme “Abante sa Ikabente:
Kaagapay sa Paghahain ng Polikteknikong Edukasyon na may Kalidad at Umaangkop sa Bagong
Kaayusan'' fronted by PUPSRC Admin and Faculty, and PUPSRC SCO. In line with this, the
PUPSRC- Student Council Organization spearheaded several competitions, collaborated with
numbers of working committees, and took place inside the PUPSRC premises. These activities
aimed to hone, develop, and showcase the various skills and talents of our students. The line of
activities are as follows:

Date and Venue

With the launch of the plans, the activities are partitioned and executed in different days
beforehand the actual foundation day celebration. Hence, the PUPSRC students were expected to
attend the pre-foundation activities upon their availability, and on the celebration. The event was
held at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines Santa Rosa Campus on the date of February
21 and February 22, 2023.

NARRATIVE REPORT PER ACTIVITY

Sportsfest
The Sports Festival commenced in January 24, 2023 with the opening program headed by the
Student Council Organization. The Head of the Division Office for Sports, Mr. Mario Zantua was
invited to speak as encouragement for all the players of the said competition. The Sports Festival
is composed of Three (3) Ball games including Basketball, Volleyball and Badminton, plus the
Chess Tournament. The duration of the sports fest run from January 24 until February 06 as its
Grand Final event. All organizations compete with their best effort for the titleship of overall
champion. The Sports Festival was officiated by Official Referees sent by the City Government.

Academic Competition

Spoken Word Poetry was one of the competitions held to commemorate PUPSRC's 20th
anniversary. This proves how talented the PUPians are at expressing themselves; with only one
week of preparation and a themed "bugtong," they successfully created a masterpiece. Seven
students eagerly competed, proudly representing their respective organizations. All of them were
incredible, but three organizations stood out the most: ACAP, GIVE, and PIIE. The Spelling Bee,
Spoken Word Poetry and Essay Writing was conducted in AVR Room 308 from morning until
afternoon. The words for Spelling Bee were adapted from Words of the Champion as reference.
Moreover, the topic for the essay writing contest revolves around “Academic Commission”.

Short Film Making

As part of its 20th Founding Anniversary, the PUP SRC Student Council Organization
organized a Short Film Making Contest which focuses on the theme "Abante sa Ikabente:
Kaagapay sa Paghahain ng Politeknikong Edukasyon na may Kalidad at Umaangkop sa Bagong
Kaayusan".The contest started from January 18, 2023, organizations are given the mechanics,
general rules as well as the rubrics for judging. Seven organizations submitted their entries for the
said short-film making contest. Online voting is included in the rubrics because, aside from
increasing page engagement, it allows organizations to present their finished product on social
media. Majority of the result equivalent to 95 % will be from the decision of the judges. Here are
the title and the synopsis of the entries submitted.

Mr. and Ms. PUPSRC 2023


Mr. and Ms. PUPSRC ’23. Sponsored by the City Government Unit of Sta. Rosa City,
Laguna. By working together and putting in the necessary effort, the event was made possible.
P-pop Dance Competition
The P-Pop dance competition was held on February 21 wherein all academic organizations
participated in showcasing their talent in the field of dance. It was designed also to enrich the
students’ experiences on socio-cultural activities and sportsmanship. They performed a
compilation of different songs under the OPM genre with various concepts they have put together
interpreting the songs they have chosen.

Bleacheering Competition
The Bleacheering Competition is a contest wherein a group of individuals will have their
10-minute performance including their Yell, Cheer, Chant while sitting in the Concrete Bleachers
of the school. Each organization may use props, costume, drum and beatbox as their
accompaniment to their performances.

EVENT OVERVIEW

In light of the university-wide kickoff of the Balik Sinta Program, on Monday, 20th of
March 2023 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 NN, the Polytechnic University of the Philippines Student
Council (PUPSRC) held celebration entitled "Tanglaw: Sama-Samang Pagsalubong sa Pagbabalik
Sintang Paaralan" to formally commence the second semester of the academic year. In line with
this, the institution also celebrated Women's month by underlying the topic regarding the Gender
and Development Program. This aims to promote awareness and understanding of gender issues
and to foster a more inclusive and equal learning environment within the university. This event
started with the morning exercises to energize and prepare the students for the day ahead. The
GPOA provides an opportunity for various student organizations to showcase their goals,
achievements, and upcoming projects for the semester. The Open Stage Booth will be a fun and
interactive way for students to express themselves and connect with each other.
The event is a great way to celebrate the return of face-to-face classes and to kick off the second
semester of the academic year. It is a chance for students to reconnect, discover new opportunities,
and reignite their passion for learning in a safe and supportive environment.

their attendance through the registration spearheaded by the PUPSRC Student Council. Moreover,
the event was held at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines Santa Rosa Campus Multi-

Organization representatives were given an attendance sheet to monitor their constituents' presence
during the said event. Herein, these sheets became the basis for a surprise raffle for the Iskolar ng
Bayan.

encourage and invite their fellow iskolar to join their programs, and open their activities to other

Background of the Event
The Buwan ng Wika celebration is an annual cultural event that aims to promote and celebrate the
richness of the Filipino language and culture. This year's event, held on August 24 and 25, 2023, at the
Santa Rosa City Sports Complex in Laguna, showcased the talents and creativity of students from the
Polytechnic University of the Philippines Santa Rosa Campus and welcomed outsiders to join in the
festivities. The event aimed to foster a deeper appreciation for the Filipino language and heritage among
the youth.

Objectives
1. To highlight the significance of the Filipino language and culture.
2. To provide a platform for students to showcase their talents in various events.
3. To encourage participation and camaraderie among students from different disciplines.
4. To raise funds for future campus activities through ticket sales.

Target Audience and Venue


The target audience for the event comprised students from the Polytechnic University of the
Philippines Santa Rosa Campu. The event was held in Santa Rosa City Sports Complex served as the
venue for the event, offering ample space for various activities and performances.

Attendees/Registration
A total of 1836 individuals registered and attended the Buwan ng Wika celebration. The attendees
included students from different academic programs within the university, as well as individuals from the
local community who were interested in participating.

Source of Fund
The event's funding was generated through the sale of tickets for entry to the venue worth 50 pesos
each. This fund was utilized to cover the expenses associated with organizing the event and to support
future campus activities.

Methodology
The Buwan ng Wika celebration took place on August 24 and 25, 2023, at the Santa Rosa City
Sports Complex in Laguna. The event was primarily attended by students from the Polytechnic University
of the Philippines Sta Rosa Campus, but outsiders were also welcomed. With a source of funding derived
from entrance tickets, a total of 1836 individuals registered and participated in the event.

The festivities commenced on the first day, August 24, 2023, featuring two key competitions:
DAGLIANG TALUMPATI (extemporaneous speech) and PAGSULAT NG SANAYSAY (Essay
Writing). In the Pagsulat ng Sanaysay contest, the participants delved into the theme "Filipino at Mga
Katutubong Wika: Wika ng Kapayapaan, Seguridad, at Inklusibong Pagpapatupad ng Katarungang
Panlipunan." The winners were Erick Brian Perez (AECES) securing the first place, Zeta Simangan
(ACAP) in second place, and Ryramel Caisip (JPIA) in third place. The Dagliang Talumpati competition
revolved around the theme "Wika at Pagmamahal bilang Pilipino na may pagtalakay sa kontribusyon o
kaugnayan nito sa pagiging Isko o Iska." Jericho Noguerra (GIVE) emerged as the first-place winner,
followed by Erica Rose Catubig (JMAP) in second place, and Airelyssa Peñalosa (AECES) in third place.
On the second day, August 25, 2023, the festivities continued with three events: SABAYANG
PAGBIGKAS (Choral Speaking), SAYAWIT (Interpretative Song), and BATTLE OF THE BANDS
LOOK-A-LIKE. For Interpretatibong Sayaw, centered on the theme "Awit na nagpapakita ng
pagmamahal sa wika o lahing Pilipino," JEHRA clinched the top spot, followed by JMAP in second place.

In the Sabayang Pagbigkas competition, participants delivered a piece from Patrocino Villafuerte
entitled "Wikang Filipino Pambansang Kalayaan at pagkakaisa." JEHRA secured the first place, while
PIIE and ELITE took second and third places, respectively. The Battle of the Bands encompassed various
eras, with ELITE and JPIA representing the 70s, ACAP and AECES the 80s, GIVE and JEHRA the 90s,
and JMAP & PIIE the 2000s. JMAP claimed the first place, followed by JEHRA in second place and PIIE
in third place, concluding the dynamic celebration of the Buwan ng Wika event.

EVENT OVERVIEW

It is the time of the year again that the fourth-year students of Polytechnic University of
the Philippines are preparing for their most exciting and awaited day of their life—their
graduation. Last September 4, as part of their preparation before the graduation, the Student
Council Organization in collaboration with the Office of Student Services headed by Dr. Gilfred
A. Acierto prepared a Career Enhancement Seminar for all the graduating students of PUP Santa
Rosa Brance entitled, “Labor Management Cooperation Towards Industrial Peace.” The topic
in the seminar revolves around employee-employer relationship, Labor Relations, and Labor
Relations as a Personnel Management as Function. Aside from the seminar, part of the event is
the Panel Discussion wherein the invited guests and speakers will answer the questions of
graduating students (if any).

EVENT DETAILS
The seminar was attended by 721 graduating students of Polytechnic University of the Philippines
Santa Rosa Branch, the Head of Academic Programs and the Campus Director Dr. Leny V.
Salmingo, the Head of Student Services Dr. Gilfred A. Acierto, the Head of Admission and
Registrar’s Office Engr. Emylou Alinsod and the organizing team of Student Council
Organization headed by Mr. Jose Punzalan, a graduating student also and the project head of this
activity. The activity was held last September 4, 2023 at the City Auditorium of City of Sta. Rosa,
Laguna.

OBJECTIVES
• To give the graduating students an overview of the importance of Labor relations and how
it greatly affect the productivity in the workplace
• To make meaningful occupational selection and preparation for an entry into them in
having a rewarding career after graduating.
• To help the freshers in entering their chosen industry through Job Caravan.

NARRATIVE REPORT OF

JUNIOR MARKETING ASSOCIATION OF THE PHILIPPINES

FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2021-2022


Background

The Junior Marketing Association of the Philippines, a duly recognized marketing


organization of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Santa Rosa Campus consisting of
more than 800 members, is committed to providing academic excellence, and leadership with
educational and fruitful activities, training, and processes for the pursuit of academic excellence
and leadership. The JMAP Batch Epsilon (2021-2022) prepared events that will surely help the
marketing students to gain valuable knowledge and have a first-hand experience in the skills that
they can use in the corporate world in the future. Through these events and its competitive
activities, students were able to gain valuable knowledge about loving themselves. With all the
academic work, research, and overwhelming activities, giving yourself a break is a must. The
Junior Marketing Association of the Philippines became an instrument to make it happen. The
experience and learnings that everybody got from these events will surely be a treasure that they
can use in the future.

Executive Summary

The Junior Marketing Association of the Philippines conducted a Four (4) major event
including Marketing Festival, Body Positivity, Marketing Week and the Awarding Ceremony
during the whole term of service for more than 800 marketing students of the Polytechnic
University of the Philippines Santa Rosa Campus. The ultimate objective of planning and
executing these events is to help the organization engage and interact more with its students and
help them improve their skills and connect them to the world where they will belong in the future.

The first event was held last February including the Marketing Competitions in preparation for the
Marketing Genius 2022. It was followed by the Body Positivity Webinar that held in May 2022.
On the following month, the Marketing Week was conducted with extra-curricular activities.
Lastly, the annual awarding ceremony took its place on the last day of the Academic Year, July
2022.

Overall, all events of JMAP have successfully landed this Academic Year and were able
to impart the objectives of every organization officers of this batch. Even though there are
problems encountered in planning these events, the organization addressed the problems
effectively, enlightens the marketing students about the topic of the seminar and provides useful
knowledge which they can use both in the academe and in the corporate world.

This is a compiled narrative report on the events conducted by the Junior Marketing Association
of the Philippines (JMAP), an academic marketing organization of marketing students in the
Polytechnic University of the Philippines- Santa Rosa Campus. The report consists of the title of
the activity, theme, narrative of every activities and the documents attached.
Activity 1: Marketing Festival 2022

Theme: Discerning Career Pavement: Furnishing Integrated Marketing Communication Career


Connection & Tactics

Narrative:

The Marketing Festival 2022 is an annual event of JMAP PUPSRC composed of a webinar
and marketing competitions. Marketing Festival is a 2-day annual event of JMAP. Day 1 consists
of various marketing competition that aims to showcase and test the skills of Marketing students
and were held last February 04, 2022, via Zoom Meeting from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Followed by
a webinar on day 2 last February 05, 2022, via Zoom Meeting from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, with the
theme of Discerning Career Pavement: Furnishing Integrated Marketing Communication Career
Connection and Tactics that aims to open new career path options for marketing students and
provide new knowledge that may help them in the near future. The main objective of this activity
is to provide career options for marketing students and as well exhibit their academic excellence.

On day 1 of the activity, the marketing competitions such as Marketing Quiz Bee, Sales
Pitching, Marketing Debate & the Case Study Analysis were held. Each section was encouraged
to send representatives to each competition. However, only a few sections complied with the
announcement. The Quiz bee took place at around 8:30 in the morning. 5 participants joined the
competition. It comprises 3 rounds, easy, average, and difficult. All of the rounds were multiple
choices since it's the best way for online setup. For the case study analysis, it was participated by
3 participants only. They were given 3 days before the competition to analyze a company case,
and in this case, is about Red bull. At 11 am, the competition started. They were judged based on
the following criteria, which is 50% for the content where they should provide clear problem
identification and utilize current research and best practices on the topic, 30% for clarity where
they should provide a clear written presentation and organization of words, and lastly 20% for
creativity for skill demonstrated in conceptualizing and analyzing the case. In sales pitching, only
2 participants were able to register for the said competition. They were given an on-the-spot
random product. Participants must be able to market the unknown product with their own
perceived product to the panel of judges. Lastly, the marketing debate wrapped up the day 1 with
2 participants only. They were given 10 minutes to prepare for the debate after the topic was
announced.

Last February 05, 2022, on the Day 2 of the activity, the marketing webinar was held. There were
invited speakers, performers, Professors, and students who are present in the zoom meeting. The
first speaker, Ms. Danielle Buenavista, the Marketing Communications Officer at Robinson
Galleria talked about how marketing should always see the customer’s point of view rather than
seeing the business perspective. Similarly, the second speaker, Mr. Jerry Yao, the Marketing Guru
of the Philippines talked about how marketing should let people know when promoting and
advertising products and services. After the talk of the speakers, the awarding of certificates for
all the winners of marketing competitions was held. The event was concluded by the organization
adviser, Dr. Marife with her closing remarks. Her speech expressed gratitude to all the JMAP
Officers who have given a big effort and tireless commitment to making the event possible.

In general, the 2-day event was concluded excellently and properly executed. Based on the
evaluation, the event program received very outstanding remarks from students. The facilitation,
ways & means, technical, and invitations received outstanding remarks from all the attendees of
the event. The two-day Annual Marketing Festival event can be said to have been conducted
smoothly and successfully. Demonstrated and tested the skills and intelligence of each marketing
student who participated in the Marketing Competition. Each marketing student was able to gain
new knowledge from the webinar speakers that they may use in the near future. From the
evaluation, the students recommended that organizers should have a backup plan when the speaker
took too much time during the talk so that time flow will still be in the program.

Activity 2: Body Positivity Webinar

Theme: Beauty in Diversity: Loving Yourself, Body, and Soul

Narrative:

The body positivity webinar was held Body Positivity is one-day event consisting of
marketing students, that aims to promote empowerment and positivity in our bodies, as well as
equality and acceptance for all body types and sizes. Held via zoom meeting on May 2, 2022,
Monday from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm with the theme entitled Beauty in Diversity: Loving yourself,
body, and soul. The main objective of this webinar is to promote acceptance of oneself and boost
confidence while diminishing stereotypes that society has set. There were 330 registrants for the
said event.

To officially start the webinar, Ms. Koleen V. Ng, the project head of the event, gave thanks
to everyone and appreciated all the efforts of each person who helped her to make the event
possible, especially the guidance of our Lord. She left the audience an encouragement that there is
no need to be perfect or change yourself, all you must do is accept what you have and embrace it
all. Aside from this, the JMAP officers prepared a short video campaign sharing their insecurities
and how they embrace and overcome it. The video imparts encouragement that despite having
insecurities, we are still beautiful in our own ways. The first speaker, Mrs. Cherry Loresca, a
guidance counselor at Labas Senior High School talked about learning and loving oneself. Her talk
inspires students that the first person who should deserve the effort and love is ourselves. On the
other hand, Ms. Abby Rieza, the second speaker and a Body Positivity Advocate discussed about
the differences between beauty before and the standards of beauty now. The topic may be a little
confusing but the speaker emphasized that beauty does not change nor has standards, there are
different beauties that we represent; before and now. Lastly, the event was concluded by Dr. Marife
Acierto as the organization adviser with the quote saying that whatever strikes in our mind forever
is our attitude.

This one-day event was concluded on time and gain positive evaluation from the audience.
The whole event was excellently and properly executed and the program schedule was excellently
followed accordingly. The technicalities and facilitation were also very good that the event earned
outstanding remarks from the students. However, the organizers should have backup technical
facilitator as a recommendation to avoid any difficulties in behalf of the technical team and the
audience. In addition, organizers should have focus more on creative promotion to encourage
students participate more in competitions (if any) and in the webinar by asking Professors to
promote your event as well in class.

Activity 3: Marketing Week 2022

Theme: Marketing Eminence in the Midst of Adversity

Narrative:

Marketing Week event introduces the immense potential and appropriate utilization of
Digital Marketing as an effective marketing strategy for business start-ups. It also features
extracurricular activities where Marketistas can exhibit their hidden talents and abilities to be
executed via Zoom Meetings on June 20, 2022, Monday from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm with the theme
entitled Kick-Off: Diving into the Digital Era of Marketing for Startups. The main objective of
this event is to provide students with a better understanding of applying digital marketing to their
present businesses or potential start-ups. There were 520 registrants in this event.

The extra-curricular activities including the Commercial Making Contest, Digital Poster
Making Contest, Marketistas Next Top Model, and the Call of Duty Tournament were participated
by many participants. The Commercial Making Contest aims to promote the theme of the
Marketing Week 2022 webinar. The Digital Poster Making Contest was held via Google Meet
last June 14, 2022, where participants were gathered together with the event heads and facilitators
to produce their digital art piece within a 3-hour time limit. The topic for this competition was
“Digital Marketing: Opportunities and Obstacles” given by the game facilitator during the event
proper. One of the most awaited competitions in this Marketing Week was the Marketistas Next
Top Model 2022 which was conducted annually by the organization after its successful launch
last year. This competition was one of the most successful competitions in this event as it received
thirteen (13) gorgeous entries from students at every year level. The last but the most engaging
competition in the Marketing Week is the first-ever CODM: Search and Destroy Tournament.
It is the second e-sports tournament following the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Tournament
conducted last year. This competition was held through discord and live-streamed on the official
Facebook page of JMAP supervised by the technical team.

On the last day of Marketing Week 2022, the webinar was held. The webinar started by the
opening remarks of the Project Head, Ms. Abbygail Depuco where she acknowledged all the
efforts to make the event possible. She left a quote saying that as beginnings are always the hardest
part, we may encounter a lot of setbacks, a lot of doubt, and sometimes we even did not know what
to do. There were invited guest speakers for this event namely; Mr. Nestor Layderos, a Digital
Marketing Professional and a Board Member of the Philippine Marketing Association, and Ms.
Pamela Denisse Serrano, a Social Media Specialist. The first speaker talked about the opportunities
and obstacles of digital marketing. He inspired students by saying that planning in the unknown
future is not always easy but it is essential to ensure that you will continue to thrive. Then, the
second speaker discussed about the social media marketing as a beneficial tool for start-ups. The
summary of her talk revolves around trying and trying until you get the results you wanted. In the
next segment of the webinar, the winners of the Four (4) extra-curricular activities were awarded
certificates. To conclude the event, the JMAP Executive President gave his closing remarks by
thanking the officers' contributions in making this event possible. He left a quote saying that our
journey of learning doesn’t stop after graduating. It is an unending expedition of learning that you
will apply to real-life situations.

It was extremely informative, interactive, and attractive; the speakers shared their
knowledge and expertise on how to maximize every aspect of Digital and Social Media Marketing
that could effectively help every marketer and entrepreneur in communicating and delivering their
messages to their target customers. The speaker also emphasized every aspect to consider when
engaging in this kind of marketing activity. Thus, giving the students a clear vision in choosing
the right platform for their business in communicating the right message to the right customers.
Moreover, this webinar taught every student how to maximize and utilize every aspect of the digital
space. After the successful execution of the event, the students gained in-depth information
regarding digital and social media marketing while also interacting with other marketing students
from other organizations. After the event was successfully concluded, the evaluation was
disseminated to all the attendees of the webinar. Based on the evaluation, the whole event received
very outstanding remarks from the students in terms of program, facilitation, invitation, and
promotion. On the other hand, the technical and the ways and means received outstanding remarks.
Aside from that, the organization also received a recommendation to ensure a stable internet
connection on behalf of the technical team and the hosts.

Activity 4: Jagwards 2022

Theme: Marketing Eminence in the Midst of Adversity

Narrative:

The JMAP community has always been participative when it comes to events, whether it
may be inside the organization, with the school, or outside the school with partner organizations,
that’s why the current batch adapted this annual awarding ceremony where appreciation and
recognition is given to the students who always give their all to represent the organization, and to
students who provided outstanding performances. Jagwards is a single-day event of JMAP. It was
conducted last July 30, 2022, from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm via Facebook live, and the theme was
“Marketing Eminence in the Midst of Adversity. There were various categories for the awards to
be given to the students. The ultimate goal of this activity is to give recognition to students who
showcased exemplary performances in academic and non-academic areas.

Ms. Abigail Aloot, the Project Head of this event, together with the co-project head Ms.
Rosalie Salgado (Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs) shared their words of
encouragement and validation to all the struggles that the Marketistas faced during the whole
academic year. In this event, the PUP Student Regent Mr. Rommel Gonzaga was invited to speak
for keynote speech. He provided words of encouragement by challenging the viewers whether they
accept the challenge or not because just as he said, “We won’t be able to do such things if we will
not consider we can”. He also said that “as Marketistas, we rise amid the kind of challenges in life,
and we challenge as we soar above all the obstacles” that definitely left a mark to the Marketistas.
Aside from that, the guest speaker, Ms. Arriane Magnaye, a campus missionary talked about the
topic “Getting back on track: how to properly set your priorities while maintaining your peace of
mind”, which provided tips to the Marketistas as close they close the academic year and embark a
new journey ahead of them.

After the talk, the awardees and nominees are presented and awarded certificates of
recognition for their valuable contributions in the organization (please see attached list below). As
the JMAP adviser, Dr. Marife Acierto congratulate everyone for doing a job well done in surviving
the academic year, and encouraged everyone to continue being excellent in everything that they
do. Before stepping down from their respective position the batch Epsilon officers gave a heartfelt
message to show gratitude to the students for a wonderful academic year of service. To formally
close the event, the organization’s Executive President, Mr. Jose Punzalan concluded the event by
delivering the closing remarks that also served as a platform for him to bid his goodbyes and
gratitude to his fellow officers, and the students for supporting JMAP. He continued giving
inspiration as the events of JMAP are not just mere events or competitions, but rather a stepping
stone for Marketistas to see what lies ahead of them.

ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

the Need for Virtual Customer Assistance”

I. BACKGROUND
This paper is the accomplishment report of the seminar held last June 10, 2023 from 9:00
AM-12 PM at PUP SRC Multi-purpose hall entitled “Naevis: Navigating the Realms of Artificial
Intelligence and Understanding the Need for Virtual Customer Assistance”. This report contains
information about the happenings at the event and how it went well through the effort and
dedication of each member, as well as the contribution of sponsors and speakers who shared their
knowledge to the attendees. The topics explained by the speakers are also stated to remind
everyone about their new learnings. Furthermore, together with this paper is the program flow, post-
evaluation of the team and financial report that will provide transparency to all the expenses before
and during the event.

II. EVENT OVERVIEW


Naevis Seminar is organized by group 2 from BSBA MM 4-1 composed of 25 individuals
who are interested in how Artificial Intelligence contributes to business today and how it can help
in serving the customers effectively and efficiently.To broaden this idea, they find speakers who
are experienced in this kind of field which can share their knowledge to everyone. It was opened
to all students for free, and other universities were also invited such as Asia Technological School
of Science and Arts and Pamantasan ng Cabuyao.

A. OBJECTIVES
1. To deepen the understanding of the attendees about the importance of Artificial intelligence
in terms of serving the customer online for today’s technology-driven industry.
2. To inspire everyone to engage with artificial intelligence for personal learning or for
reference once they became part of the corporate world.
3. To showcase everyone’s potential in getting involved with AI Applications and share
each other’s knowledge and expertise.

B. ATTENDEES/REGISTRATION
As early as 8:00 AM, the Secretariat Team already arranged the necessary papers for
attendance and wristbands for the raffle to be handed out – for the reason that early bird attendees
are present already. Even though the start of the event starts at 9:00 AM, The Secretariat Team is
proud to have early attendees enter one after another. In addition, the Flextel Office graciously
handed the Secretariat Team free ballpens for participants to use upon registering their names.
Furthermore, when the registration table became hectic as more participants lined up to register,
the Secretariat Team was aided by support from other unoccupied team members. In brief, the
Secretariat Team is grateful for the participant’s patience as they cooperate throughout, making
the seminar successful and fruitful. Hence, ending the registration at exactly 10:00 AM with a total
of two hundred and (240) attendees overall.

IV. EVALUATION OF NAEVIS SEMINAR


After successfully conducting the one-day seminar of Project Naevis, the evaluation form was
posted in the Facebook Page. Out of 230 attendees last June 10, the event received 140 responses
until June 29, 12:00 noon.

PROGRAM
Based on the responses received from the attendees, the whole event was excellently and properly
executed garnering the program an 4.80 evaluation rate. The common factor that led the event
program with high evaluation is having interactive activities and connection to the audience during
the event proper.

FACILITATION
Based on registration, hosts and decorum of the organizers and attendees, the event was evaluated
to be excellently organized. The concerns of the attendees were immediately addressed and
sustained by the organizers. The organizers also had a standard uniform so that attendees can
determine to whom they can reach out for their concerns. The host also gives excellent energy
during the event that hype the crowd all throughout the event.

TECHNICAL
During the event proper, the organizers experienced a slight problem in terms of the audio as the
school overlooked a schedule of an event also that requires a sound system, then, therefore, the
Project Naevis and the other event shared speakers. Nevertheless, the visual presentations were
excellently visible despite conducting the event in daylight. The audiovisual presentations were
excellently presented on the screen.

INVITATION AND PROMOTION


The invitation and promotion got the highest percentage of evaluation from the attendees. The
organizers make sure that the social media was utilized properly to invite and attract attendees for
this Project Naevis. The information was disseminated excellently, creatively, and in proper. The
promotion tools were excellently effective and encouraged the audience to attend. The promotion
tools were excellently creative and interesting, and posters were excellently related to the theme.

WAYS AND MEANS


Through the efforts of the external team, the Project Naevis were able to gather sponsors to attract
attendees. The sponsor, Flex Office, were able to interact with the audience with Mascot and
giveaways. The sponsors also provided prizes for many icebreakers and activities during the event
proper. The attendees also engaged with the booth of the sponsor through photobooth, Socials
Follow and Likes and many more.
V. CONCLUSION
In conclusion, the seminar was concluded successfully, leaving the attendees with a fruitful
experience. With two distinguished guest speakers sharing their invaluable insights and expertise,
the event provided a comprehensive understanding of artificial intelligence and its significance in
the realm of customer virtual assistance. Additionally, the inclusion of two talented guest
performers and ice breakers added an engaging and dynamic element to the seminar. The
overwhelming attendance of 230 participants is proof to the event's relevance and success. Overall,
the seminar served as a platform for learning, and inspiration, contributing to the advancement of
AI understanding and its practical applications in the world of customer virtual assistance.

VI. RECOMMENDATION

Here are some recommendations for future events based on the success of the seminar and
feedbacks from attendees:

1. Diversify guest speakers to provide a broader range of perspectives and topics.


2. Incorporate interactive sessions to promote active learning and audience engagements.
3. Record the seminar and upload it on an online platform to extend its impact and reach a
wider audience.
4. Stick to the program flow to start and finish the event on time.
5. Secure a seminar venue with a built-in speaker system and LED screen for better audio and
visual presentation.
