F. COURSE DESCRIPTION : This course introduces students with the basic understanding of the
applications of mathematical concepts and skills in economics, business and accounting. It in-
cludes determining the time value of money using simple and compound interest and discounting,
variation of annuities, amortization stocks and bonds and sinking fund.

H. PREREQUISITE : College and Advanced Algebra

M. COURSE POLICIES
A. On Attendance
1. In virtual meetings, attendance is not mandatory, but your absence should be comple-
mented by information on why you cannot attend the synchronous meeting. On asynchro-
nous meetings, the submission of outputs is equivalent to attendance.
B. Netiquette:
1. Wear proper attire
2. Be on time
3. Mute yourself when not ask to talk
4. If you want to talk, please ask permission and do it in a polite way.
5. Be sure that no background noise will be heard when you talk.
6. Do not go somewhere else during synchronous class and be attentive
C. Use of E-Classroom
1. Students are encouraged to sign up in CNSC Learning Management System (LMS)/ FB
Messenger and via google meet for virtual class.
2. Quizzes, examinations and submission of assignments will be done through CNSC LMS or
FB Messenger.
3. All e-materials used in the discussion will be uploaded in the CNSC LMS/FB Messenger.
D. Course Requirements:
1. Quality work and class participation are required. Recitation will be done during synchro-
nous meetings.
2. Projects, reports and assignments are given enough time to prepare, but must be submitted
on or before the scheduled date and time of submission. All activities must be hand writ-
ten/computerized and submitted on time through Google Classroom.
3. Learning Management System (LMS) will be used for quizzes and major examinations (pre-
lim, midterm and final).
4. Required project must be submitted before the (prelim, midterm and final) examination.

1. In order for any student to pass the subject, he/she must obtain a grade of 3.00 or 75%. The
failing grade is 5.00.
2. The following grading system shall be adopted:
The Final Grade (FG) during the current rating period is equal to one-third of the final grade
(FG) of the previous rating period plus, two-thirds of the tentative grade (TG) of the current rat-
