BOE 3.1 Adaptive Server Startup Issue

1. The Adaptive Processing Server on a BOE 3.1 installation was failing to start. 2. Checking the event log and server trace file revealed errors related to a missing method in the OCI library. 3. The missing method, families(), indicates a version mismatch between the OCI library and other BOE components.

Adaptive Processing Server failing to start

Hello everyone,

I have a BOE 3.1 (no fix packs) install on Windows 2003 where the AdaptiveProcessingServer fails to start. Install
path: BOE 3.0 + BO SAP Integration 3.0 + BOE 3.0 Sp1 + BO SAP Integration 3.0 Sp1.

This install does not include the additional Crystal Reports installs mentioned in some other threads.

I've tried creating a new server in the CMC, cloning the existing one, etc.

Any ideas are appreciated!

Hi,
1
is the server dropping any Errors ?? Check the Eventviewer of the Operating System if there is
something. If not trace the Server and check the log file.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I've done both, I will paste in some results below. The event log errors are vague and the server
trace is very complicated! 😊
