TEACHER ACTIVITY STUDENT'S ACTIVITY

I. Daily Routine

" Good Morning , Class l am Teacher

Mary Rose G. Malaga. ".

" Good Morning, Teacher "

" Before we start who can lead the

prayer"
( The teacher will called the name of
student)

" One student will lead a prayer in front of the

class"

" Kindly pick up the trash that you can

see in put in the trash bin" " The student will pick up the piece of paper "

" Is there's no absent today?

" None Ma'am ".

ELICIT

" Before we start we will be having

exercise Jumping Jack "

(Please stand up set aside your chair

and form two line)
" ( The student will set aside the chair and form
two line)

" Now let's start our exercise"

( The teacher will be counting 10count
" The student will cooperate and count"
and the teacher will lead the exercise)

" Okay Class what did you feel when you " Teacher I feel when do a Jumping Jack is our
jumping jack?" chest is tight that cause of lack oxygen"

" Now what organ receive oxygen?

" Teacher , the organ that receive oxygen is

lungs"

ENGAGE

( The student have activity that we do

is inhale and exhale)

" Okay Class where going to breathing

exercise".
( All you have to do is inhale and
exhale)

" Do you understand? " Yes, Ma'am "

" Let's Start" ( The student will start to inhale and exhale)
( The teacher will lead the breathing
exercise)

" Okay now that you have breathing

exercise what did you feel when you " Teacher when I inhale and exhale I feel relaxed
inhale and exhale? and comfortable

" Very Good what body part do use in

order to inhale and exhale? " Teacher the body part that we use in order to
inhale and exhale is lungs"
" That correct! We use our lungs to inhale
and exhale. Today we are going to know
the part and function of the" Lungs "

" But before that here's the learning

objectives of our lesson.

a) Identify the part and function of

the lungs .
b) Label the part of the lungs.
c) Show proper care of the lungs.

EXPLORE

" Now watch the video and find out what

are the part and function of the lungs"

Note: Video clip can be downloaded at

feature=shared)

- The teacher will set standards for

watching videos "

" But before that what should we do while

watching videos? " We need to understand the context of the video"
" We need to take the notes and avoid making
noise "

( After watching the videos, the

teacher will group into groups will
answer the given human lungs and
diagram present in to the class)

- Direction: Using a diagram

below label the part of the lungs
and answer the questions.
Question:

1) What are the part of the lungs?

2) What is the function of alveoli
3) What is the function of trachea?

" Now we will be having a group activity

related to the video you've watched. I will
group you into two groups and each
group has a leader who will report what
they did . I will give five minutes only to
do your group work".

" Is it clear?"
" Yes , Teacher"

- The teacher will standards for

group activity"

" Children , What should you do while

doing your activity ".
"Teacher we should cooperate with out
groupmates and avoid making unnecessary
noise"

" Very Good! You may now start working - The student will discuss with their groups
your group activity " and prepare for their presentation "
EXPLAIN

" Okay class! Each group will present

their output and while listening to the
presentation of your classmates , what
will you do?"

" We should listen to their presentation and avoid

noise"

" That's correct !

- Allow each group to their

answers .

" Now let's start your presentation , Group

1 you my now start your output ".

" Very Good! Let's give a round of - The group 1 present their output.
applause for group 1."

" Okay Group 2! you my now present - The student will clap their hands .
your output."

- The group 2 present their output.

" Very Good! Let's give a round of
applause for group 2 ."

" The teacher will check the output each - The student will clap their hands .
group .

" Job well done learners! Now who can

state first , the major part of the lungs?

" Teacher, the major parts of the lungs are

trachea,bronchi , bronchioles."

" Very Good! the major parts of the lungs

are trachea bronchi, bronchioles, so what
is the function of lungs".

" Teacher, the main function of the lungs is help

to us for breathing and also have different parts of
the lungs that work together so we can inhale and
exhale".

" That's correct ! We use our Lungs to

breath . What are the different part of the
lungs?

" The different part of the lungs are the trachea,

bronchi, bronchioles, alveoli , left Tobe, right
tobe."

"Very Good!"
(The Teacher presented a picture of
the lungs)
" Children , here are the different part of
the lungs."

" We have the trachea, bronchi,

bronchioles, alveoli,left tobe, right tobe."

Based on the video you watched ,What

part of the lungs is when you inhale the
air comes into your nose or mouth and
commonly known as windpipe?

" Teacher, when you inhale ,hair comes into your

nose or mouth and commonly known as windpipe
is trachea
"Very Good ! Trachea is to provide air
passage to your lungs. The main function
of the trachea is to provide a pathway for
air to move between the upper respiratory
tract (nose and mouth) and the lower
respiratory tract (lungs). When we
breathe in, the trachea allows the air to
enter the lungs, and when we breathe
out, it allows the air to exit in the body.

" What part of the lungs is has two large

tube ?

" Teacher the part of the lungs are two large

tubes are called bronchi .
"Very Good! Bronchi is the large tube
that connect your trachea ( windpipe) and
direct the air you breathe to your right and
left lungs. The primary function of the
bronchi is to provide a pathway for air to
enter the lungs. They help in the process
of ventilation by facilitating the movement
of air in and out of the respiratory
system."
" Okay! Now what is the smallest tube?

"Teacher,the smallest tube are bronchioles"

" Very Good! Bronchioles is the smallest

tube that air passage inside the lungs .
They branch off like tree limbs from the
bronchi the two main air passage through
which air flows from the trachea
( windpipe) after being inhaled through
the nose and mouth. The function of
bronchioles is to carry from the alveoli ,
which is tiny air sacs in the lungs where
the gas exchange takes place.

" Now what is the very tiny air sacs?

" Teacher, the very tiny air sacs is alveoli."

" Very Good! Alveoli is the very tiny air

sacs located at the end of the bronchioles
in the lungs. The main function of alveoli
is to facilitate the exchange of oxygen
and carbon dioxide between the lungs
and bloodstream."

The teacher will show the picture of

the right lobe and left lobe.
" Okay children this the right lobe of the
lung we have superior lobe, middle lobe ,
inferior lobe".

1) Superior lobe - The superior

lobe of the right lungs is
responsible for the exchange of
gases during respiration . It ( The student will be listen)
receives oxygen - rich air from the
trachea and transport from the
bronchioles and alveoli for gas
exchange .
2) Middle lobe- The middle lobe of
the right lungs assist in the
filtration and humidification of the
inhaled air.
3) Inferior lobe - The inferior lobe
also known as basal lobe ,help the
efficient exchange of gases.

" Okay children also the left lobes of

lungs We have superior and inferior

1) Superior lobe - The function of

the left lung's superior lobe, also
known as the upper lobe, is to
facilitate the process of
respiration. It contains a large
number of tiny air sacs called
alveoli, where oxygen from the
inhaled air is exchanged with
carbon dioxide from the
bloodstream.

2) Inferior lobe- -The inferior lobe

helps with the process of
ventilation, which involves the
movement of air in and out of the
lungs. When you inhale, the
muscles contract to expand the
lungs, allowing air to enter. During
exhalation, the muscles relax,
causing the lungs to deflate and
pushing the air out.

" Class do you Understand?

" Yes ! Teacher".

VI - ELABORATE

" Now that you know the part and

function of the lungs , I will have a picture
and observe".
( The teacher will show the picture)

"

" Okay Class! What did you observe

about this picture?

" Teacher , I observed this photo is the right

lungs is healthy and the left lungs is not.
" Very Good! Why do you think the left
lungs is not healthy?

" Teacher the left lungs is not healthy because

they use cigarette and drink alcohol.

That's correct now what happened if your

lungs is not healthy?

"Breathing problems caused by lung disease may

prevent the body from getting enough oxygen"

" Very Good! Class can you give me an

example that show proper care of the
lungs"

" Teacher the proper way to care the lungs is

avoid smoking and drinking alcohol that affect
your lungs."

" Very Good! Give yourselves around

applause".
