Conversion Factors for COD, N, P Models

This document provides conversion factors and kinetic expressions for a mathematical model of a wastewater treatment process. It includes factors for components like COD, nitrogen, phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, calcium, total suspended solids, carbon, and protons. Kinetic expressions are provided for various processes including hydrolysis, growth of heterotrophic organisms, storage and growth of phosphorus accumulating organisms, and precipitation. Kinetic coefficients for these processes are also listed along with their values and units.

SH represents free proton concentration, KpH and KI,pH the half-saturation and inhibition parameters for pH,
and fpH the maximum value of the product of both switching functions. This factor has been used to remove
pH inhibition at optimal pH conditions (IpH = 1 for SH = (KpH·KI,pH)1/2).
