1. Right to Basic Needs
A Consumer right that guarantees
survival, adequate food, clothing,
shelter, health care, education
and sanitation.
2. Right to Safety
A Consumer right to be protected
against the marketing of goods or
provision of services that are
hazardous to health and life.

assert ourselves and act to
ensure that we get
a fair deal.
3. Social Concern
The consumer responsibility to be aware of
the impact of our consumption on other
citizens, especially disadvantaged or
powerless group, whether in the local,
national or international community.
4. Environmental Awareness
The consumer responsibility to
understand the environmental
consequences of our
consumption.
5. Solidarity
The consumer responsibility to
organize together as consumers
to develop the strength and
influence to promote and
protect our interest.
Agencies and their jurisdiction
IMPLEMENTING AGENCIES:

Article 6. Implementing Agencies. – The provisions of this Article and its


implementing rules and regulations shall be enforced by:

a) the Department of Health with respect to food, drugs, cosmetics,


devices and substances;

b) the Department of Agriculture with respect to products related to


agriculture, and;

c) the Department of Trade and Industry with respect to other consumer


products not specified above.
