PREAMBLE
(Salutation) Good day to you Sir. I am Daniel Joseph E. Berdida. You can call me DJ. I
am a PhD CIN candidate of Philippine Normal University. Presently, I am working on my
dissertation paper entitled “Role of Nomophobia Smartphone Afdic
((Purpose) As a vital part of this academic pursuit, I am inviting you for a one-on-
one interview session that will capture your personal experience of the said
phenomenon. This interview will be audio-recorded and it will be conducted in the
Filipino language.
(Motivation) Your participation in this study shall be useful in exploring and
understanding the process undergone by secondary schools teachers about unteachable
moments.
(Consent) Before we start, I would like to ask for your consent and sign the consent form
if you are willing to participate in this study.

I. This segment of the interview will account for an in-depth reconstruction of your unteachable
moments. To facilitate retrieval of information in an orderly fashion during the interview, three
phases will be followed:

6. Can you describe an event when you are teaching and it has been disrupted? What
causes this disruption?
7. During your teaching lessons, how do you describe the level of participation of your
students? What are the strategies you use to enhance their participation?
8. Can describe situation/s when students during teaching seem unreachable? How do
you deal with it?
9. What strategies do you use in to close the gap between you and student/s? How
important it is to you?
10. How do you know that your students experiences conflicting knowledge? What are
the interventions you did to address it?
11. What feelings or behavior do your students manifest when they experience conflicting
knowledge? What are the actions you did to deal with it?
12. Can you narrate an event that your confidence has been affected by conflicts in the
classroom? After that, how confident are you in delivering the contents of the subject?
