It instructs the reader to start by stippling raised metal areas with pure darkness, then stipple towards darker areas leaving some parts lighter to create transitions. It then says to stipple raised areas with a mix of darkness and ivory, and to edge highlight the metal by stippling edges with a mix of ivory and darkness. Finally, it notes stippling pointy arrow areas and adding white dots to pointy arrow areas and nails completes the stippling.
