Sensor type Description
1. Netbotz Rack -Assigned device with institution LAN parameters
monitor 750 -Assigned email alerts notification recipient’s
-Defined and assigned device with an email address i.e.
[email protected]
-Assigned device email with institution mail server parameter for
an outgoing mail alerts delivery
-Assigned sms alerts notification receipts
-Configured netbotz communication channel with sms gateway.

2. Sms Eagle -Assigned device with institution LAN parameters.


-Assigned device with a domain i.e. dc-sms.ku.ac.ke
-Assigned device with a public IP
-Configured sms gateway email to sms conversion.
-Configured sms gateway with institution mail delivery parameters.
Incoming mail server settings.

3. Temperature -Provides real-time temperature data.


Sensors -Connected to Netbotz 750
-Alarms configurations
4. Temperature -If the temperature falls below 18oc (64.4oF) generate a warning
alarm named “High”
-If the temperature rises above 27o c (80.6OF) generate a warning
alarm names “Too High”
-If the temperature rises above 32o c (89.6OF)generate a warning
alarm names “Too High”

5. Relative Humidity -If the humidity rises above 80%, generate a warning alarm names
(RH) “Low”
-If the humidity rises above 20%, generate a warning alarm names
“High”
6. Leak rope -If a leak is detected, generate an informational alarm.
7. APC UPS MGE -Assigned device with LAN parameters
GALAXY 5500 -Assigned device with an email address
-Configured device email with institution mail server delivery
parameter for outgoing email alert notifications.
-Configured email alert notification recipients
-Configured sms alert notification recipients
- Configured device to communicate with sms eagle for sms alerts

Battery -If the battery voltage falls below 2.4V, generate a critical alarm
named “Too Low”
-If the battery voltage falls below 2.65V, generate a critical alarm
named “Too Low”
