Exercice1:

1. Sorry, I can't talk right now. I ‘am having (have) dinner with my family.
2. The kids are playing (play) in the backyard. They always enjoy spending time
outside.
3. Look! The chef is preparing (prepare) a delicious meal in the kitchen.
4. The team (train) is training hard for the upcoming championship.
5. My brother (study) abroad this semester. He (learn) is learning a new language.
6. They (build) are building a new house in the neighborhood. It's going to be
beautiful.
7. I’am not watching (not watch) television these days. I’am reading (read) a
fascinating book instead.
8. Excuse me, but you are standing (stand) in my way. Could you please move?
9. The company is introducing (introduce) a new product to the market. It is
receiving (receive) a lot of positive feedback.
10. We are planning (plan) a surprise party for our friend. It takes (take) a lot of
coordination

Present continuous and simple present:


1. I usually go (go) to the gym, but this week I’m not going (not go) due to an
injury.
2. Listen! The birds are singing (sing) beautifully in the trees.
3. She is working (work) on her project right now. She always works(work) diligently.
4. They travel (travel) a lot. They explore (explore) new places every year.
5. Look! The kids are playing (play) soccer in the park every afternoon.
6. He usually drives (drive) to work, but today he is taking (take) the bus.
7. We are having (have) dinner with friends tonight. We always enjoy (enjoy) their
company.
8. The company is developing (develop) a new product at the moment. They (aim)
aim to launch it next month.
9. She reads (read) a book every evening before bed. It helps her relax.
10. Excuse me, but you (stand) are standing in the way. Could you please move?
Past continuous and simple past :
1. While I was studying (study) for the exam, my friends were watching(watch) a
movie.
2. Yesterday, I was walking (walk) in the park when it started (start) raining heavily.
3. They had (have) a great time at the party. They (dance)danced and laughed
(laugh) all night.
4. My parents were cooking (cook) dinner when I arrived(arrive) home from work.
5. We traveled (travel) to Europe last summer. We visited (visit) France, Italy, and
Spain.
6. The phone rang(ring) while she was taking (take) a shower.
7. He was playing (play) the piano when I entered (enter) the room.
8. We waited (wait) for the bus for an hour before it arrived (finally arrive).
9. They were talking (talk) about their vacation plans when the power (suddenly go)
went out.
10. Last night, she read (read) a book until she(fall) fell asleep.

Present perfect, present perfect continuous


and simple past:
1. She has lived(live) in this city for ten years.
2. We have traveled (travel) to many countries this year. We have visited (visit)
France, Spain, and Japan.
3. They have been working(work) on the project for three hours. They have just
finished (just finish).
4. He has been studying (study) English for six months. He has made(make) a lot of
progress.
5. I have seen(see) that movie before. It was realeased (release) last year.
6. The team won (win) the championship last season. They celebrated (celebrate) all
night.
7. My parents have lived (live) in that house since they got(get) married.
8. She has been waiting (wait) for the bus for half an hour. It hasn’t arrived (not
arrive) yet.
9. We have been learning (learn) French for two years. We have been
improving(improve) our language skills.
10. He has read (read) three books this month. He has enjoyed(enjoy) them all.
Past perfect, past perfect continuous and
simple past:

1. By the time Sarah arrived at the party, everyone had already left(already/leave).
2. We had been watching (watch) a movie for three hours when the power went
out.
3. Susan had lived (live) in New York for five years before she moved to London.
4. The children had been playing (play) in the garden all day before it started to
rain.
5. He had worked (work) at the company for over a decade when he decided to
quit.
6. By the time I got to the bus stop, the bus had already come (already/come).
7. They had been practicing(practice) the song for hours before the concert.
8. The team had lost (lose) three matches in a row before they finally won.
9. She had been waiting (wait) at the airport for two hours before her flight was
announced.
10. We had traveled(travel) around Europe for six months before we returned home.
