FOUND OF SPECIAL AND INCLUSIVE EDUCATION
“REFLECTION ON THE INTERVIEW WE MADE”
On September 2023, we conducted our interview to Mrs. Rufina Beloy from barangay Oy, loboc, Bohol.
She has a daughter who has special needs and one of the gifted her name is Ivy Beloy and she is deaf. She
studied at Booy tagbilaran during her high school and senior high years, graduated on the year 2021-2022, and
got an NCII in cookery. The child is mute and deaf, I admire the child can still graduate from high school
despite being mute and deaf. It is clear that family involvement in their child education makes a big difference
in their ability to communicate and develop social skills. However, it is unfortunate that there is no support
from the government or local organizations to provide financial support. The family has good relationships
with the school and teachers, despite the difficulties encountered in communicating and learning sign
language. The importance of child with special needs in general education to promote acceptance and
inclusion. Teachers and classmates can make a difference by development a supportive and inclusive
environment in which all children can thrive. Overall, determination and support can still lead to success. I
really inspire to learn about a child with a disability who was able to graduate from high school despite the
challenges. It is a shame there is not government support or local organizations to help, but it is great that the
family can manage and maintain good relationships with the school and teachers. It is clear that participating
in children's education has a positive impact and it is important that educators and classmates understand the
importance of supporting children with special needs to help Children have a full life and fit in into society.
