INTRODUCTION
Advanced Computer Network for Master in Information Technology program covers
the study of computer network architectures, protocols, and interfaces. Discussion
will also include end-to-end protocols, congestion control, high speed networking
and network management and security.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
At the end of the course, the students are expected to:
1. Uncover and understand the current directions of computer networks
from literature readings.
2. Expose the full span of the computer network's frontier.
3. Encourage a performance perspective towards analysis of computer
and communications networks.
4. Fill-in gaps in networking knowledge.
5. Refine research skills;
5.1. advance skills of literature searching and literature review.
5.2. learn to analyze and evaluate published results.
5.3. improve communications skills to include information available
through the Web
