Statement of purpose (SOP) for Master of Project Management
Introduction:
I would like to introduce myself as Ayushkumar Ramani, barring passport number U9148327. I
am humbled and grateful for the acceptance of my application Master’s program in Project
Management at the esteemed University of Bedfordshire United Kingdom.
Academic Background:
• MAR-2018, I had completed my 10th Grade School Certificate with 54.16 % from the Gujarat
Secondary & higher Secondary Education Board.
• MAR-2020, I had completed my 12 th Grade School Certificate with 53.2 % & from the Gujarat
Secondary & higher Secondary Education Board.
AUG -2023 I had Completed My Bachelors of Science from Dr.A.P.J Abdul Kalam University
Indor with 65.19 %
Why did I choose UK and not India?
I have planned to study in United Kingdom as recognized globally and would open doors for me
in the future, and would be helpful for me in the long run. The cost of living and education is
comparatively low as compared to the other countries. I have opted for University of East
Bedfordshire as it has programs that provide practical exposure, smaller class sizes, a strong
return on investment, and opportunities to gain exposure to the business field of the
international market. By studying in such a nation, I would also gain relevant practical
experience in the prevailing global business culture. Interacting with fellow students from
diverse cultural and national backgrounds would allow me to learn from their ideologies and
help me explore new concepts. I would effectively grow intellectually and on an interpersonal
level during my study tenure to use my skills and knowledge upon returning to India. This
Program will surely take me a step closer to my career goals.
Why Maters in Project Management?
As a result of learning about various projects, my knowledge base has dramatically expanded.
My desire to learn more about project management has always propelled me forward in my
career. To become a competent professional, I need to understand the disciplines thoroughly. I
intend to continue my education in the field of networks to achieve my goal because I will gain
a broad understanding of various project management techniques through this course. Because
my previous academic and professional endeavors had given me a solid understanding of
project management and strengthened my networking skills, I determined that I needed to
advance my project management career to a management position to realize my long-held
dream of founding my own renowned company.
I have come to realize that today due to the rising penetration of business advances in every
nook and corner of India, there’s a high need for a proper course that will allow me to place my
hands on the management part of significant projects in businesses. During my tenure, I met
several business professionals from different industries and sectors that deal domestically and
globally. This has encouraged me to avoid constraining my further education towards a
particular branch of business management; instead, I wish to expand the scope of my
employability across a range of sectors. In such a scenario, incorporating sophisticated traits
like planning, organizing, scheduling, leading, and managing resources in my profile would be
the most logical step for me. With the credibility of my existing management and business
knowledge, in my career, I foresee myself handling on-site roles by managing teams and
collaborating with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Hence I find the Project Management program the perfect stepping stone for me at this
threshold in my career. The core courses of my chosen Graduate Certificate program like
Project Scope and Quality Management, Project Risk Management, and Project Planning and
Scheduling would develop me in all dimensions of Project Management.
Why not other institutes?
The University of Bedfordshire serves as my ideal University because of the varied exemplary
factors that differentiate it from other institutes. Coming from a science background, I lack the
needed technical skills that can help me outstand among crowds. Hence, I decided upon the
University of Bedfordshire, with its expert and experienced faculties, to train me in the
intricacies of scientific research, studies and outcome. Apart from that, the University offers
higher industry exposure to keep me informed about the current booming trends in the field.
Also, another appealing feature that I find to apply to this University is the availability of a Co-
op option in my program, enabling me to use my classroom learning in a work environment and
build needed practical knowledge. The last essential factor is quality education, an outstanding
feature of the University as it focuses on classroom education and practical knowledge with
actual industry collaborations. I am incredibly pleased and excited to begin my journey with all
these factors in mind.
Future Prospect
After completing my Course Project Management, I will have an overall development in my
ability and attitude. Since my course will make me understand and learn about managing
projects on-time and on-budget, different approaches to handle the project. It will also develop
leadership, Organizational, Interpersonal, Meeting and Presentation skills, so this would not
only help me enhance my theoretical knowledge about different projects but would help me to
achieve excel in my work. I strongly believe that the knowledge and communication skills which
I will acquire in this one year of my study in UK will help me stand globally. Moreover UK
education is recognized in many countries around the world.My one year study in UK act as a
platform and gives a global boost to my career. After completing this I can work as Project
Analyst, Business Analyst, Project Officer and Project Schedule Analyst.
My visa conditions:
I know the conditions to be fulfilled if granted a student visa. I assure to gain at least a
minimum of 80% of attendance in the College and not work for more than 20 hours a week. I
cannot move to any full-time job during my intended course time and cannot change the course
and course provider during the planned course time.
Closing statement:
I know studying in UK requires a lot of discipline and dedication, and I assure to remain under
the guided laws as an international student. I look forward to a positive response from UKVI to
pursue my dream of higher education in UK.
