Beach Bag 4

This document provides instructions for crocheting a bag with a square bottom using a 5mm crochet hook and acrylic yarn. It includes materials needed, abbreviations used, and a step-by-step description of the process. The bag is made by starting with 8 single crochet stitches in a magic ring and working in a spiral to create a square bottom. Increases are made on specific rounds to shape the sides and the bag is worked in back loops only for a tighter stitch. Handles are added by chaining and attaching loops to the bag or by separately crocheting handle pieces and inserting them.

Bag with a square bottom

crochet pattern
Materials
- 3-4 mm cotton, acrylic or polyester cord 350-450 meters
- hook 5mm or 6 mm
- scissors, stitch markers, yarn needle

In this pattern I use 4 mm acrylic cord and a 5 mm crochet hook. My green bag has
sizes: 16" (41 cm) wide, 14" (36 cm) high.

If you use any other yarn, take a hook 1 sizes smaller than recommended for this
yarn (to make the bag more tightly). The size of the bag may vary - it depends on
your crochet density and the yarn you choose. The thicker the yarn, the larger the
bag.

Abbreviations
ch - chain stitch
sc - single crochet
sl st - slip stitch
3in1 - work 3 sc in 1 stitch
BLO - back loops only
(…)*n - repeat the sequense in brackets "n" times
(...) - amount of stitch after the row
