This document provides alternative tests or observations that can be used to assess various skills instead of the SIPT TEST. These include the Metzler mental rotation test for space view, the Object identification test in complex scenes for figure floor, figure copying tests or the Praxis Assessment Test for copy of project, and the Berg balance scale or Movement Assessment Battery for children to evaluate standing and walking balance or bilateral motor coordination respectively.

SIPT TEST Alternative Test/Observation
Space View Metzler mental rotation test . In this
test, participants are presented with
pairs of three-dimensional images of
objects that are in different
orientations.
Vandenberg and Kuse 's Special Visual
Abilities Test , this test is designed to
assess visual spatial ability, such as the
ability to visually understand and
manipulate objects in three-
dimensional spaces.
Figure Floor Object identification test in complex
scenes. This test is specific for visual
perception.

Figure copying test. Where the child is
asked to copy a series of simple
figures, such as geometric shapes,
letters or objects.
Postural Praxis Praxis Assessment Test (PPT). This
test focuses specifically on assessing a

movements in a coordinated manner .
Sequencing Practice Infant Motor Function Assessment Test
- Peabody (PDMS-2). Which assesses
motor skills in children. While it does
not specifically focus on sequencing
praxis, it does include tasks that assess
motor planning and sequencing skills
in children.
Manual form perception Observational test of tactile evaluation:
the therapist provides objects of
different shapes and sizes so that the
patient identifies them only by touch.
Standing and walking balance Berg balance scale (BBS) assesses
standing and walking balance in a
variety of situations.
engine accuracy Test Motor Coordination and Manual
Dexterity (MABC-2) it includes tasks
that measure dexterity skills such as
pin placing, socket placement and
reaching reach.
Bilateral Motor Coordination Bruininks - oseretsky test of motor
assessment Battery (Bot -2),
Movement Assessment Battery for
children (MABC-2). These
assessments are responsible for
assessing bilateral motor coordination
in children.
