Configuration:

1) Go the installation folder where TREX is installed.

2) Open [Link] (this file is in D:\usr\sap\<SAP SID>\TRX03\<hostname> folder), in


notepad and make a note of port number, usually it is 3<INSTANCE NUMBER>01.

3) Start Visual Administrator and the way to do is

a) Go to Server Installed path i.e. usr\sap\<systemid>\<systeminstance>\J2ee\admin

b) Choose [Link] and start it.

4) Choose Global Configuration  Services  TREX Service.

5) Select the [Link] properties field

6) Enter the server name of the TREX instance and the port number.

7) Choose Update.

8) Choose the Save button.

9) Select Yes to restart the TREX Service.

10) Exit the Visual Administrator.

11) Now to check the connection in the portal, we need to have Super Administrator permissions
in the Portal.

12) Log on to Portal

13) Choose System Administration  Monitoring  Knowledge Management  TREX


Monitor  Server Status.
You should see the status of the HTTP Server, Name Server, Queue Server, and Index Server is
Available.
