INTRODUCTION
Work Immersion prepare students for the real work by immersing them how to
work in real life settings and eventually equip them with skills necessary for their
chosen career. It helps you prepare yourself in the future. Work immersion students are
able to experience accordingly with that preferred courses which help them to learn
and discover new skill as well as gain confidence and background in different work
fields.
Work Immersion is an industry that directly relate to students postsecondary
gaol. With this, the students are exposed to and become familiar with work related
environment related to their field of specification to enhance their competence.
THE PROGRAM, It’s VALUE AND HISTORY

Bureau of Fire Protection or known as BFP, traces its root and defunct
Constabulary Fire Protection Bureau. BFP an agency of DILG responsible for
implementing national policies related to firefighthing and fire prevention as well as
implementation of the Philippine fire code (PD 1185), which has been repealed and
replaced by the New Fire Code of the Philippines (RA 95140,
Formerly known as the Integrated National Police Service. The agency was
founded on January 29, 1991 (RA 6975). The enactment of Republic Act of 6975,
otherwise known as the Department of Interior and Local Government Act 1990 which
took effect on January 1, 1991 paved the way for the establishment of the Philippine
National Police (PNP) and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) as separate
entities. Specifically, the Fire Bureau’s charter was created under Chapter IV (section 53
to 59) and carried out through the provisions of rule VII (Sections 49-58) of the
Implementing Rules and Regulations of the said law.
The organization was the placed under the direct supervision of the DILG
Undersecretary for Peace and Order. The succeeding approval of the Appropriation Act
of 1991 as a distinct agency of the government, with its initial preparation of Operation
Plans and Budget (OPB) undertaken by staff of the Office National Chief Fire Marshal at
Camp Crame, Quezon City headed by then F/Brigadier General Emesto Mandriga , INP
(1990-1992) that took over from the long reign of F/Brigadier Primo D. Cordeta (Ret) the
first Chief Fire Marshal (1978-1789). Gen. Madriaga served at the BFP as the responsible
of ensuring safety through prevention and suppression of all destructive fire on Building.

It’s also responsible for the enforcement of the Fire Code of the Philippine (PD
1185) and other related Laws, Conduct investigations involving fire incidents and Causes
there of including the filing of appropriate complaints/case.
360 in 1986, the month of March was declared as ‘’FIRE PREVENTION MONTH’’

or ‘’BURN PREVENTION MONTH’’. Most alarming fire incidents in the country, base on
data by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).

We commit to prevent and supress destructive fire, investigate it’s causes enforce fire
code and other laws, and respond to man-made and natural disasters and emergencies.

The most memorable event during work immersion is the last day of our work
immersion day, which was also our most memorable event, cause we have an boodle
fight and we enjoyed it with the BFP personel.
WHAT CAN I RECOMMEND FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE IMMERSION PROGRAM
